Rainbow Scrap Challenge: Done with the Really Reds

We took advantage of our day off to just spend some time hanging out as a family.  Plans for hanging out with the extended family got delayed for a day.  One of My Guy's nieces was involved in a head-on collision Thursday evening.  She survived the accident, but has some significant injuries that required surgery.  Thankfully, it looks like she'll make a full recovery, but she'll have some significant time in physical therapy.  We'll be spending some time with her today.  She needed some time to rest after surgery, so they asked that we wait a day to come see her.  Your prayers for her and her family would be appreciated.  Her son is just a year younger than Drama Teen.

I decided not to pull out any of my multi-color scraps for this month's Rainbow Scrap Challenge as the graduation quilts really need to get done first.  But I was able to finish off the red fan blocks from last month by assembling them as my leaders and enders.  Lots of different reds, though many of them look pretty similar when photographed all together.

So now I'm all caught up for next month's color.  By then all I'll have left is the binding for The First Amendment quilt. Some fun with scraps will be much appreciated then.

That's it for me today. Linking up with:

Sorry to hear about his niece but thank god she is going to be ok with time. You do such beautiful work. You inspire me to use more color than I do. Love seeing you quilts. Enjoy this beautiful weather today. Sounds like we'll have a chance of rain for Easter.

Congrats! on catching up with your RED blocks for the RSC. Considered skipping MULTICOLORED month myself, but decided it could work for my Scrap Jar Star blocks. Wishing DH's niece a speedy recovery!

Love your red fans. So sorry to learn of the accident - but how fortunate it was not worse (I'm sure it's bad enough as it is). Will pray for a speedy recovery. Hope you and yours will have a happy Easter.

Your reds look great. I sure hope your niece makes a full recovery. Are you going to do multicolored blocks or sip them?
