This year my quilting plan is to focus on fewer projects in hopes I'll make a bigger dent in my pile of 22 UFOs/WIPs. At the moment that means I'm working on Twinkle Star blocks for this year's Rainbow Scrap Challenge.

Poinsettias is my leaders and enders project. It doubles as my long term Lets Book It Challenge project.

My "get'er done" project is last year's Bonnie Hunter mystery project, Grand Illusion.

I'm making pretty good progress on the blocks for row 3. I'm only making five rows of blocks, that should use up most of the pieces I've already got cut out and/or assembled into the smaller blocks. I'm still not sure if I like this one or not. The more blocks I make, the better I like it.
Unfortunately, I won't get much done over the next two weeks. I've got a project at work that will be taking a lot of time. This weekend was my calm before the storm. I'll be pretty scarce over the next couple of weeks.
Have a great week and keep stitching. I'm linking up with Design Wall Monday over at Judy's Patchwork Times.

I think your approach will serve you well, Kate. I'm fascinated by the Poinsettia pieces-parts. Bet it's going to be stunning!
I like your Twinkle Stars! Congratulations on finding a pace and sticking with it.
Great projects, Kate! Keep it up, and they will all get done this year.
I think you'll like the GI quilt in the end. I didn't start it mostly because at the time I hadn't finished either of the two I had started over the years. I've seen some that look fabulous and others that were just too busy. Yours looks like you used solid fabrics which gives the eye some place to rest. A friend took hers apart and sashed it with gray and on point and it looks great. I'll be posting a picture of it in the near future. Good luck with the big project and hope you can squeeze a few minutes sewing some time!
Even though I'm retired, there are times when I just won't have time to do any stitching (like the next couple of weeks), so when I find time to stitch, like you, I definitely take advantage. I'm trying to figure out which of those 3 projects I like best, but I just cannot ... they're all spectacular!
Nice to have some time for stitching. I think I need to get back to the 15 minutes so I can accomplish something. I really like Grand Illusion -- and the other projects are looking good too.
Our Grand Illusion look very similar in fabric choices. I'm about to sew the rows together.
You are making great progress!! Bet it felt great to get in a little sewing this weekend! YAH!
You are a fast worker. All your projects are looking good too.
I am happy to see you are getting some sewing time in now. Hopefully things will slow down for you at work!
