Two Twinkle Stars were added to the design wall this week.
Twinkle Stars Tutorial by Andrea Feldbush of Soscrappy |
I'm really enjoying these little blocks, both making them and how they look up on the design wall. The fabric for the last two pink blocks has already been picked out, but the next block hasn't been cut yet. I've got one more week to finish off the last 2 pink blocks. I should be able to do that and be ready to start on the blocks with March's color, whatever that might be.
Last year I had three Rainbow Scrap Challenge projects going, but decided to do only one this year. With 18 UFOs and 3 WIPs already piled up around the sewing room, I didn't want to start more than one scrappy project. Plus of the four Rainbow Scrap Challenge projects I've started, not a one of them has been finished. Hopefully you won't get bored seeing just these Twinkle Star blocks this year.
You can see out more pink scrappy projects over at Soscrappy.

Hoping for a year of finishes. Last year was mine, and starting again for scratch is always great fun. Loving these blocks and hoping they all cone together by the end of the year.
nice big blocks! I"m not sure if I choose the wrong size or style for mine but we're only 2 colors into the challenge & I'm ready to abandon it lol!

I love seeing the twinkle stars. They are gorgeous blocks!
Oh, do I understand! I have six projects from 2014 that are waiting to be assembled. This year, I chose one that finishes itself each month plus three that will wind down in November so I can assemble in December. BUT, the colorful scraps are SO enticing . . . .
Who could get bored with such cute stars? They're gorgeous! What a great quilt that will be.
These pink starts are the best so far, IMHO. I know what you mean be limiting your outside involvement, but when it means being able to make things like this? Really? Your quilt is great!

Don't worry about anyone getting bored with your stars--they are so wonderful, we will all enjoy seeing them every week. Beautiful!
I'm loving those twinkle stars.
I seriously love how bright your pink stars are Kate!! I also love how BIG they are!
I won't get bored - I love those blocks! I think I'll make one today - and I didn't want to start anything new, but each time I see these I get excited about making one. Come link them at WIPs Be Gone, Kate, and you'll probably incite others to make one too.
I love your scrappy stars! This is a really cool block. I look forward to seeing them all come together.
I love those tars! Could never get tired of them. And LOL - I've only done one RSC each year and still haven't finished any of them.
Stars. I love the stars. Not tar. ;)
Your stars are very pretty. I understand only one rainbow project. I have many UFO's to finish. Good luck with finishing yours.
It's always fun to see just what fabrics make it into the twinklers. Love the bubbles..
Oh, gosh, I love your Twinklers! Only 18 UFOs???? You could probably reverse those digits for my number!
Love your twinkle starts Kate - keep them coming because Im enjoying seeing each and every one of them.
Im finally going to wander into my sewing room today . Tidying is first on my agenda and then hopefully I'll be able to do some actual sewing !
Your stars are beautiful, Kate. I hope you have time to get in there and play!

Kate, those stars are beautiful. Enjoy your Drama Teen...for see too will be up and gone before you know it.
These are never boring! I really need to finish off some of my tops this year - hopefully I can do one this coming week. Love this block in pinks.
You aren't the only one who's done nothing with last year's challenge blocks! Mine are still waiting patiently for their turn to be put together. And on top of that, I know I haven't got all the blocks made I wanted to.
I love your pink stars. They are really pretty.
Looking forward to seeing all your Twinkle Stars in a quilt, also glad to see that someone else has a collection of WIP's and UFO's!
I don't remember noticing the corner squares before--they're great! Very pretty blocks
Your blocks are beautiful and all the different color combos definitely keeps them interesting.
These are gorgeous! But I've enjoyed every one of your scrappy projects and I know that one day, when the teen drama gets older, you'll finish them all :)
How could anyone get bored looking at these gems!!! Beautiful blocks. I am looking to seeing them all as the year goes by. Thanks!
Your twinkle stars are gorgeous. Sounds like you and I both need to finish some Rainbow tops.
