Rainbow Scrap Challenge - Still in the Pink

Hooray for the weekend! Unfortunately, today is going to be about as busy as a weekday.   We have places to be and Drama Teen has people to see.  But we should be done by mid afternoon, so there is some hope that I'll get time in the sewing room before the day ends.

Two Twinkle Stars were added to the design wall this week.

I'm really enjoying these little blocks, both making them and how they look up on the design wall.  The fabric for the last two pink blocks has already been picked out, but the next block hasn't been cut yet.  I've got one more week to finish off the last 2 pink blocks.  I should be able to do that and be ready to start on the blocks with March's color, whatever that might be.

Last year I had three Rainbow Scrap Challenge projects going, but decided to do only one this year.  With 18 UFOs and 3 WIPs already piled up around the sewing room, I didn't want to start more than one scrappy project.  Plus of the four Rainbow Scrap Challenge projects I've started, not a one of them has been finished. Hopefully you won't get bored seeing just these Twinkle Star blocks this year.

You can see out more pink scrappy projects over at Soscrappy.

  1. Hoping for a year of finishes. Last year was mine, and starting again for scratch is always great fun. Loving these blocks and hoping they all cone together by the end of the year.

  4. Oh, do I understand! I have six projects from 2014 that are waiting to be assembled. This year, I chose one that finishes itself each month plus three that will wind down in November so I can assemble in December. BUT, the colorful scraps are SO enticing . . . .

  6. These pink starts are the best so far, IMHO. I know what you mean be limiting your outside involvement, but when it means being able to make things like this? Really? Your quilt is great!

  9. I won't get bored - I love those blocks! I think I'll make one today - and I didn't want to start anything new, but each time I see these I get excited about making one. Come link them at WIPs Be Gone, Kate, and you'll probably incite others to make one too.

  19. You aren't the only one who's done nothing with last year's challenge blocks! Mine are still waiting patiently for their turn to be put together. And on top of that, I know I haven't got all the blocks made I wanted to.
I love your pink stars. They are really pretty.
