Design Wall Monday - A Little Progress

The weekend was way too short.  That's what happens when one spends Friday night and most of Saturday somewhere else other than home.  It was nice to get to stay home on Sunday and stay out of the cold.

Most of yesterday afternoon was spent in the sewing room. It's the only real sewing that got done this week.  I finished two more blocks for Celtic Solstice.

I love the secondary pattern in this pattern.

The Rainbow Scrap Challenge Sampler blocks was the other project that got some attention yesterday.

Pink is this month's color, but I wanted to finish up the blue ones before I put those scraps up.  Only one got added to the design wall, but there are two more in progress.  So far I've not duplicated any scraps in these blocks.

That's it for me this week. Hopefully this week won't be so crazy and there will be time for some stitching.  Check out all the other design walls linked up over at Patchwork Times.

Your Celtic Solstice is looking so beautiful! I love the colors, and it is fun to see the pattern non-scrappy.

I love the colors of you Celtic Solstice, too. Very striking. Your blue scrappy blocks are lovely, too. They remind me of snow in the daylight and at night.

I would be surprised if you got any sewing done at all if I didn't know that you challenge yourself to spend 15 minutes in the sewing room every day -- life can get in the way of crafting sometimes, especially when one works full time and has a teenager to run after!

Some sewing is far better than no sewing!

I also like the secondary pattern in Celtic Solstice. I think it is good that you finish the blues. A little bit of sewing here and there does add up.

Love any quilt pattern that looks like a circle but isn't. Looking fantastic.

What's the old saying? Inch by inch, life's a cinch?! Perhaps they should change it for quilters to say, "Stitch by stitch, makes life rich!" LOL! :)

Loving your version of the CS, your colors and values really show off the patterns formed by the blocks.
