Hard to believe that it was just a week ago that we finished Grad Girl's move home. I'm still dealing with sore knees after all the steps, but other than that I'm mostly recovered. Consequently this week was much better than last week on the stitching time front.
- 15 minute days/week = 6/7 days
- 15 minute days/July = 16/26 days
- 15 minute days/2025 = 187/207
- Success rate = 90.34%
We took Grad Girl's car in for service on Thursday and ended up spending the whole day in Tulsa (which wasn't the plan). I came home that day with what was probably a dehydration headache as we were out running around to a few places since we had to stay in town most of the day. So nothing got done when I got home. So it wasn't a 7 out of 7 day stitching week. But I still made progress with a few things this week.
I haven't done much with the stash organization lately. I'm hoping to do more with it next month.
How was your week. Did you hide from the heat in your sewing room or has it been just too hot to do much of anything?

I know you are so relieved to have the move behind you! Was your day in Tulsa just getting the car serviced, or did you have time for some retail fun? When we run errands I take water with me then forget to drink it (rolling my eyes). Yes we are hiding from the heat. Yesterday the tropical system from the Gulf made its way almost to our little town, but just tantalized us with thunder and lightning. But the temp dropped 16 degrees!
Our weather is sort of up and down around here - upper 90s this weekend, but a cool down by Tuesday or so. I try to hide from the heat, but it doesn't always work, so I sew anyway. I hope your knees start to feel better. It's frustrating to have these aches and pains as we get older when we just want to get stuff done! Have a relaxing Sunday, Kate!
Going up and down steps while in the moving process does work on your body. I sure hope that you are beginning to feel better. The heat has been smothering. I have been going in and out of the house , doing my gardening, with breaks for sewing. I wish you a lovely day, Kate. Hugs.
As long as the ac works I'm fine. Except when walking the dog. The humidity has been awful around home. It wasn't much better in the mountains at the retreat location. But, most of us were happy to stay in and stitch. Hope you get back to feeling great.
Take care and rest, you deserve to have a full week sewing ;)
Hi Kate, sorry to hear about your dehydration - it's so easy to happen. I'm been mostly hiding in the house, appreciating the AC! I do try to go out in the morning for coffee in the back yard - and sometimes, like today, I even do some slow stitching. I'm not a morning person but the backyard during late morning is my favourite place to be. Take care.
It has been really hot here in Kansas but looks like we are getting a reprieve for the next few days....but with storms.
