Border 6 for the SAHRR

Last week it seemed like we had more winter than spring. This week is looks like we'll have more spring than winter.  I'm ready for that, but not the severe weather part of spring. Cleaning out the tornado shelter is on my housekeeping list for this week. Hopefully we won't need it this season, but we usually use it at least once in the spring.  Just part of life when you live in Oklahoma.

I spent most of Saturday in the recliner with a sinus headache, but it abated enough on Sunday for me to spent the better part of the day in the sewing room.  Our guild meeting is a week from Tuesday, so I spent most of Sunday cutting out the pieces for this month's BOM blocks.  But there was time to get border 6 for the SAHRR (Quilting Gail) finally assembled and attached.

It came together pretty well.  But it looks unfinished and it's a little small to use as a cuddle or couch quilt.  This quilt is supposed to go to Grad Girl's current roommate.  So after a bit of playing around in EQ, the plan is to add one more pieced border to finish it off.  The plan is to have all of that done before the final parade later this month.  We'll see how that goes.

Hope the headache has gone away! Fluctuations in air pressure as weather fronts come through can do that. I'll be interested in seeing your round 7 border for SAHRR. The colors are wonderful.

Love your SAHRR. I like how you strategically space out your blocks in each border. The space it self creates a strong contrast and emphasizes your blocks. Great colors, too. And I get the migraines but have more ocular ones. I also think the big changes in weather are not helping us.

I hope there will be no need to use the shelter this year, but you are fortunate to have one. Your SAHRR looks amazing, Kate. The green fabric is scrumptious. Enjoy your week. Hugs.

It’s looking really good Kate! I think another border to perhaps frame it will be perfect. What’s lovely gift.

Your quilt looks beautiful. I look forward to seeing what you add to it. Is your shelter outdoors or in your house? Hope your headache stays away!

I get sinus headaches, too - especially when a change in the weather is coming. They are no fun - hope you're feeling better. Your SAHRR looks great! I have loved your blue and green combination. One more border sounds doable!
