Stitching Stuff Week 45 of 2022

Most of this week was spent moving all the furniture out of the library and cleaning the carpet. It's been a while since I've cleaned carpets, so it really had to be cleaned twice.  I'd forgotten just how much work cleaning carpets was, it's a lot harder then I remember, or maybe I'm just older?  Either way, I was incredibly sore when I went to bed last night. I woke up this morning with a very sore knee that has only gotten worse today,  so I'm going to rest tomorrow in hopes that it feels better by Monday.

I've stuck to my clean in the mornings and sew in the afternoons schedule.  I was so tired after cleaning the carpet  that I ended up in the recliner working on my embroidery project rather than climbing the stairs, but that counts as stitching time too.  There was pretty good progress on the second half of the 5th butterfly.

The top half of the wing is almost finished. Once it's done, I can move the hoop to do the bottom half.

It was a good week. Even with all the tiredness and sore muscles, I still managed to stitch all 7 days.

  • 15 minute days/week = 7/7 days
  • 15 minute days/Nov = 18/19 days
  • 15 minute days/2022 = 178/323 days
  • Success rate = 55.11%
Being set up to work on my embroidery if climbing the stairs to the sewing room is too hard is one reason I was able to get in 7 days of stitching time the last two weeks. It all counts under my rules.

How did you do at finding time to play with needles and thread this week?

Pretty butterfly,, and it's nice to have a project downstairs ;) Sorry for your knees, carpet cleaning is not fun. Have a great weekend, and take care.

hope your knee improves fast - between the cleaning and the stairs you over worked it most likely - maybe a little twist

Your butterfly is sweet. Hope your knee recovers quickly. Take care.

Hi Kate, I sympathise - the carpets are on my to-do list...eventually! I was dog sitting this weekend so spent most of the time on the first floor with Poppy. I was able to do a lot of hexies in EPP. I'm glad to be back in my studio tonight though. No stitching, just catching up on blogging stuff. Have a great week.

As you get older it doesn't take much to make things hurt. I wore the wrong shoes the other day walking around the shops and my calves were killing me. Hopefully you recover soon seems a total injustice when you hurt yourself cleaning. I really want to get back to some embroidery but I spend too much time crocheting at the moment.
