Between my laundromat decompression sewing from Saturday and my NASCAR race watching sewing on Sunday, a lot of changes are visible on the design wall. Block 7 for the En Provence quilt, plus two sashing pieces are done.

All 12 alternate blocks for the Christmas Angels quilt are up on the design wall. Ten of the blocks are completed, two blocks still have a couple of seams that need to be sewn.

The dark fabric in the blocks is a dark green, not black. Angels was my May UFO. I haven't decided yet if I'll start on the focus blocks are just put this one away once the alternate blocks are all done. The plan wasn't to finish all the UFOs on the list, but to at least move them along. I've done that with this one. But if I can continue to work it in with the other projects on the list for this month it will stay out.
Lastly, I finished off the small green fan blocks for this year's Rainbow Scrap Project.

These blocks are 3.5", while the large blocks are 7.5" unfinished. Now I'm ready to get started on the yellow versions of these blocks.
It was a pretty productive weekend. It's going to be a busy week, but I'm hopeful that I can work in a solo sewing retreat next weekend. I need a break after all the graduation, college registration, visiting friends activites we've had the last few weeks. If the washer doesn't get fixed, there will be another round at the laundromat and I'll definitely need some de-stressing sewing after that battle!

Looks like you're moving several things along at once! That's a good feeling! I love the lighter blue fabric in your En Provence. Here's hoping the washing machine gets fixed soon!
Oh!! So you are back to your En Provence. I should take a lesson from you and drag mine out, too!!
Lots of pretty sewing and stitching for you--
I did unsewing this week end!!!
and some rearranging of furniture--
I did go down to the community room and watched the last 43 laps of the race--can't believe the race was won by a half lap restart!!
but my girl came in 10th--yea for her!!!!
enjoy the moments, di
Ugh on laundromat time. And, yes as much as we enjoy our family and the busy-ness that comes with them sometimes -- it is wonderful to have a few dedicated sewing days. Hopefully you'll get a lot done this weekend -- in solitude!
Very productive week - good job!
I hope you get your solo sewing retreat, it sounds heavenly! You're making great progress on your projects. I hope your washer gets fixed soon!
If we lived a little closer you could have used my machine, but the pond is in the way, that's life. I'm loving your fan blocks, so tiny, I'm watching this one closely.
I understand about the ufos, I hate to put it away again and I am convinced I will just do a little bit, but they start to stack up and can overwhelm. I have to be happy with any progress. Your en provence is pretty
Still loving your fan blocks- can I say they're FANtastic?
With all that you still managed to do so much?!! Great job! Hope you get your solo sewing retreat next weekend.
