The last couple of weeks haven't been very productive on the stitching front. The sewing room is all cleaned up and put back together after our minor flood. I've not been able to spend a lot of time in it since. All the rows of Scrappy Stars did manage to get sewn together in spite of my limited stitching time.

The top has been trimmed up since this photo was taken so it's all ready for the borders. I'm pretty happy with the layout. The light blocks aren't white, but are a very pale beige. Those were the most difficult blocks to decide where to place them in the layout. I finally ended up going with a symmetrical layout for those blocks, random just didn't work well.
That's what's up on my design wall this week. Hopefully all the borders will get added this week and I can move on to something new. To see what's gracing other design walls, check out Patchwork Times.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time of grieving. One of God's best gifts is the wonderful memories we have of a person when they are no longer with us. Your quilt is beautiful.

Your layout for this is terrific -- the symmetry is perfect -- there's a good number so they (the light blocks) don't look out of place, but it also doesn't look 'regimented', if that makes sense. Very pretty quilt! :)

This is readily becoming one of my favorite quilts of yours, Kate. I love the colors and the layout and well, just everything about it. Looking forward to the next step you show us!
