I need to figure out how to fit in some hand piecing at the meets. It's hard on Saturdays because the stands are usually pretty crowded. Even so, I managed to find at least 15 minutes to sew 5 out of the last 7 days. I guess technically last Tuesday wasn't sewing, but I did drive to Tulsa to take a quilting class. Since it will help me with finishing up quilts, I'm counting it.
I mentioned a give away for the end of February in my last post. I'm still refining the details of that. I hope to have all the logistics worked out by next week's post. I don't mean to be a tease, but what I had wanted to do isn't easily managed, so I need to rethink a few things.

Great job, Kate! A quilt-as-you-go project would be great for hand sewing at meets. I usually took some to ballgames when I had kids at home playing ball. :)
I take my hexes to tennis practice with my son (don't take them to matches though). I have my bag packed with the pieces already to piece. Great week of sewing regardless, and a quilt class does count.

i could never have managed this challenge while i was raising my daughter. just too distracted and unorganized at that time. i really admire that you get so much done as well as encourage all of us to do the same~!!~

I've recently started keeping a hand sewing project ion my living room so I can do some for those nights where I don't feel like sewing by machine. It means I can grab it as I walk out the door as well and take it with me ...It's a good use of time .
