The last border looks very different depending upon the lighting. It has a lot of reflective gold in it. It really does look much better in person than it does in the photo. All that's left are the horizontal borders. Those are sewn and cut to size, I just didn't have time last night to get them attached. How I managed to pick two border fabrics that were directional I don't know. Must not have been focusing on the color part and not the assembly part.
Hopefully the Geisha top will be done today. I still have to label one quilt and put the binding on a second before Christmas. I'm getting there slowly but surely.
That's what's up on my design wall. Check out the other design wall goodies by stopping by Patchwork Times.

WOW! So pretty - love the colors!
I love seeing this quilt evolve. It really speaks to me.
Looking good. That's a great way to showcase the beautiful fabric. The borders look good and I understand the concept of looking at the matching of colors and ignoring the pattern - done that!

If you don't have a plan for your Geisha quilt, I could make a home for it in AL. Honestly, it is so beautiful!
I'll have to check back to see if you cut the directional border the opposite way to make the lines radiate. Merry Christmas!
This is such a pretty quilt, Kate.
I just love non-symmetrical quilts! Yours is fabulous!
Just stunning. Love it.
It is just gorgeous!
Wow, Kate -- this is just beautiful. I love what you've done so far with the borders...they really set the quilt off nicely!! :)
Really a wow quilt top now, Kate! I like the directional prints but they do take extra cutting time. The repeat of that deep color of blue is so rich and luxurious. Congrats on sneaking a little bit of sewing time into your busy week.
