(-7 C). Autumn is often one of the most comfortable times of the year, with temps in the mid to high 60's. It has been warmer than that this year. But even so,within the last week or so the leaves have started to change. The cooler temps coupled with the yellows and reds of the changing leaves make this my favorite time of year.
The last picture I took this afternoon, the others photos are from last year. When I asked my guy if he liked the last shot, he asked me where I had taken it. After I gave him the answer he asked, "You do recognize the poison ivy in that shot don't you? I sincerely hope you weren't wading in the brush to take that picture." Did I? I honestly can't remember how close I got. And no, I didn't recognize the poison ivy (yes, I'm a born and bred city girl). Wonder if that is why my face is itching? Oh, surely not! I really do love autumn, maybe just not all the pretty leaves.

Oooh lovely autumn colours, and such lovely photos, we don't really get the beautiful change in leaf colours here, it's too warm. Great photos too, glad you weren't attacked by poison ivy, we don't get that here either, phew.
Those colours are beautiful, autumn is really a gorgeous time of year, hope you didnt get poison ivyed, i cant see it either !
Lovely colours.
Lovely photos - hope you don't pay a high price for them !!!!!
Cheers
Helen
Beautiful! I grew up in Kansas, so I can relate to the temperatures and enjoying Autumn so much. Hope you don't need Benadryl and Calamine later today. Thanks for sharing. Happy FTF!
Autumn colors are so pretty, and those are lovely photographs. Having lived in Kansas, and soon to be living in Kansas again, I know exactly what you mean about the temperatures.
Sure hope you didn't get in poison ivy! I had it once. No fun at all!
Its also my fav season. The colours suit my hair and skin tone, its important to match!!!
But doesn't the poison ivy have such lovely coloring...
Is that really what poison ivy looks like? I thought it would look nasty and dangerous. It looks like normal leaves! That's hardly fair.
Australia has a lot of trees that dont lose their leaves. And I dont recall seeing such deep colours on our leaves when they change.Your photographs are beautiful.
It always freaks me out to think you're the opposite of us there in seasons, time and all sorts of other things. Your leaves are dropping and ours are popping back up on the trees.
I thought I knew what poison ivy looked like. I guess not! I like that last shot. It looks like the leaves are translucent.
Beautiful fall pictures! I can't see any poison ivy in that last pix either, but then, I once knelt in the stuff while picking blueberries all afternoon (ouch) so I'm no authority. If you do have it, try aloe--it worked for me. :)
love the pics...it's been a really warm fall here in minnesota too....way to many fall projects are done and in shorts & t shirt ...
