Stitching Stuff: Week 22 of 2026

Summer showed up yesterday. It was sunny, hot and humid.  Hard to believe I was commenting on our cooler weather last week. So I wasn't far off on my prediction that summer would be here pretty quickly.

The back is better, the knees are better, but I had to schedule an emergency dentist appointment last Tuesday.  They put me on antibiotics because they were pretty sure the tooth in question was infected.  I'm waiting on a referral for additional imaging, there may be a root canal in my future as well depending on how that comes out.   I'm really hoping this falling apart stuff only comes in threes, I'm ready to be mostly healthy again.  Thankfully the dental issues didn't stop me from getting into the sewing room.

  • 15 minute days/week = 7/7 days
  • 15 minute days/May =  29/30 days
  • 15 minute days/2026 = 148/150 days
  • Success rate = 98.67%

I made it to the sewing room most days, but have to admit not a lot got done on Tuesday and Wednesday till after the antibiotic kicked in.  Still it wasn't a bad week.

How did your week in the sewing room work out?

Ouch, sorry for the dental issue, it's not better than back or knee pain. Hopefully you were able to spend time in your sewing room. Last night I heard a strange noise coming from my studio, it turns out my design wall had come loose from the wall... I hope I can fix that quickly!

I hope your dental issues are solved quickly. I read about Oklahoma's high dewpoints. It is warm here too and looks like it will be a hot few days before some relief comes. I can't believe tomorrow is June 1.

I hope your tooth is better soon, the dental stuff is so frustrating!

I'm sorry you're dealing with the dental issue now. That is generally everyone's least favorite thing to go through - I hope the antibiotics helped. You're still doing great with getting in a little bit of sewing each day!

Bless your heart. I hope that you do not have to have a root canal, Kate. It always seems things hit at once. Right? I wish you a speedy recovery. Hugs
