Stitching Stuff: Week 3 of 2026

January is more than half over. But it doesn't seem to be going as quickly as it went last year. I like a slow start to the year.  We've not had snow or ice, but it's been cold with a biting wind.  Definitely makes you want to stay home and just sew.  Which is such a hardship, right?  The weather has definitely been more conductive to more sewing time.

  • 15 minute days/week = 7/7 days
  • 15 minute days/Jan = 17/17 days
  • 15 minute days/2026 = 17/17 days
  • Success rate = 100%

It's been a pretty good month so far on the stitching front.  I may not be staying on track with all my projects, but I've seen good progress so far on most of them.

Has the new year been better or worse for you on the stitching front?

January seems too fast for me - lol! But it is a good start for my year, and I hope to keep the momentum going.
We have up and down weather, and I wish it would just settle on cold. And we need rain/snow as we are in a very dry period.

I didn't have a lot of sewing time this last week - hopefully the coming week will be better. It's so easy for days to get filled up with activities, when sometimes I just want to sew! We have been cold and windy the last couple days, too (after playing golf on Wednesday!), and I am ready for a break from that.

Good job! Every little bit of time is progress.

Hi Kate, good luck with your projects. I'm glad that you're enjoying your slow going January. I would love to hibernate all winter but we're always running out of food :-) I'm actually stitching a lot and am enjoying it. Take care.
