My sewing mojo is still MIA. It wasn't the best week on the stitching front.
- 15 minute days/week = 5/7days
- 15 minute days/May = 22/24 days
- 15 minute days/2025 = 137/144 days
- Success rate = 95.14%
I ended up doing a lot of reading the two days I ddn't sew. My Guy was concerned, it's not like me to not sew. He suggested I get myself out of the house and go to open sew at the quilt shop. I did that. It helped, I got a lot done on Friday. I didn't get as much done on Saturday, but I did get started on some stuff that has deadlines. Maybe not the best week, but I'm still doing pretty well with a higher than 90% success rate. I may switch it up this week and play with some handwork. Maybe I'll be more into that, it's a change from what I've been doing.
Our forecast for this holiday weekend was rain and more rain. It's a good thing we didn't really have anything planned for the weekend. Did your plans get rained out, or was your plan to stay in and stitch?

Sometimes we all go through times when we just don't feel like sewing. We had had most of the week but no rain this weekend, it's yard work time!
Sometimes we just need to take a break from quilting. It's supposed to be fun, not a burden. Enjoy your reading and don't pressure yourself to quilt when you're not in the mood. It will come back.
I agree with Gretchen…so don’t be too hard on yourself!! Sometimes our mojo needs a bit of a breather! Have a good week ahead! :)
An open sew at the quilt shop sounds fun, I hope that you meet a lot of quilters to sew with. It's still a good stitching week! I hope to do better next week than I did last week.
I'm sorry you're still going through the lack of sewing mojo. Sounds like it was a good idea to go to the open sew - if only just to be around other quilters who are fun to talk to! What are you reading? I'm always curious about that!
Sounds like your Guy is a wise man, glad you got a little inspiration. We are supposed to get the rain late tonight, and that's OK with us, we need it. No plans other than eating! :D
Maybe there is something in the air -- I didn't feel like I got as much done as I should have. There's always next week. Rain starts here on Tuesday and continue off and on for 5 days.
Don't you just hate it when you lose your stitching mojo? I am sure you will get back into full gear soon, Kate. It was so sweet of your Guy to give you suggestions on how to get out of the rut. We have had the rain in our neck of the woods .It is supposed to rain through the week. Stay safe.
Think we have all been there and we feel your pain but getting out and sewing with other helps with the inspiration and getting that mojo back. Sewing/crochet is keeping me sane at the moment all I seem to be doing is working but picking up the needle or hook at the end of the day has helped.
Hi Kate, you're lucky that your guy is supportive and encourages you to get out of your slump! I'm finally back in my studio - it's still chaos around me but as long as I can work on my computer and at my sewing machine, it's good enough for now :-) Take care.
Good thing we all know the mojo does come back if you are in a slump. Good thing your guy had such a great suggestion. In the meantime enjoy your reading time and stay dry 😉
