Stitching Stuff: Week 41 of 2024

It's been busy around here since about mid September.  We've not had a full weekend at home since then.  We were gone for the wedding and then 2 weekends for vacation.  I've done a good job and having things that can be hand stitched when we're on the road, but it does slow down progress in my sewing room. At least I've been able to work in my stitching time each day.

  • 15 minute days/week = 7/7 days
  • 15 minute days/Oct = 12/12 days
  • 15 minute days/2024 = 286/286 days
  • Success rate = 100%

It's been such a good year on the stitching time front. I think I can keep the 100% till December, then it gets dicey.  It's been fun to keep my streak going.  I probably won't try for 100% next year.  It's a lot of effort (and requires a bit of understanding from your family) to keep this kind of streak going. But it's been fun. I'm still excited to see where I end up at the end of the year.

Being away for the weekends has really impacted my scrap and fabric organization activities for September and October. I have nothing to report on either front.

Did you manage to get in a bit of stitching time this week?

Your 100% streak has been exciting to follow, and I hope you can keep it up until the end of the year! I think my best year ever was 362 days out of 365. It's so important to have projects prepped and ready to go, especially hand stitching for when you are away from home, and you have excelled at that!

I managed to get something done every day but sometimes it was a struggle to focus for sure

I could probably not manage a 100% stitching rate for a year either, but it would be fun to try! It just depends on what you've got going on, and if you're home or not. Congratulations on making your goal so far this year, though!

You have done an amazing job this year on keeping up your quilting, Kate. I have no doubt that you will end the year with 100%. You certainly have moved a lot of projects along and have done a fabulous job on organizing your fabrics. You are keeping me inspired. Hugs.

Wow—pretty sure I couldn’t manage 100% stitching rate for this long! We’ve been off on another little getaway this time to visit friends again in the Catskills and no I didn’t stitch for even one minute and I even brought embroidery! This is Sandra of mmmquilts. It’s not recognizing me (eye roll)

With such a supportive family and your great organization, for sure you can keep going like this until the end of the year! It's fun for you, and it's fun to watch too! Thank you for the motivation, even if my numbers are not as good as I would like to.
