Stash Report - September 2nd

Wow, it's September already.  I'm not sure what happened to August.  If past experience is any indicator, the next couple of months will go by in a blink. That's way to scary to contemplate on a Sunday morning when I haven't even finished my first cup of coffee.  On to safer topics, like stash reports.

I actually sewed this week after spending most of last week picking out fabric for the Grandmother's Choice BOW.  I'm still working on The Sofa Quilt, making the flying geese for block B as leaders and enders.  I'm almost done with those!  Block 1 of the BOW is done, as is the first pumpkin coffee cup for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge, plus 3 more blocks from this month's UFO have the sashing added.  Feels good to make so much progress on what's up on the design wall and have fabric in the out column this week.

Used last week:  0.76 yards
Added last week:  0 yards

Used for 2012:  28.72 yards
Added for 2012:  246.88 yards

Net stashed for 2012:  218.16 yards

Nothing in this week.  So, I'm doing pretty well with the fabric diet.  I'm hoping to get the Layer Cake Quilt Along project all sashed and the borders added, so I can make the back which would really help the stash report.

That's it for me this week.  I'm going to get my second cup of coffee and jump over to Patchwork Times to see what's up in the world of stash busting.

  1. Nice progress! I can't think about the fast-flyin' time either. Too heady a thought. :) Fingers-crossed I'll sew after 'Church of the Recliner' this morning. Think I may go rent some games/movies for the kids...Happy Sunday!

  4. I'm with you, I have no idea what happened to August! But, with that said, it still feels like summer outside here even though the kids in our area start school in two days.

Glad you got some sewing in. I dream about it, and sometimes I actually get started on something, then something always happens like the phone ringing or I remember something I forgot to do that I have to take care of before I forget AGAIN. At least I can't complain I'm bored anyway!

You're making better progress on your stash reduction than I am and I haven't really been buying anything!

  5. This year has gone by so far in the blink of an eye. Spring has started here and I recall grizzling because it was 6 months away!

Im itching to start something new so I can use up some stash!

  6. You have a lot of fun quilt projects to keep you busy.
Seems the older I get the faster time goes. I should still be 38 - not 58! Thanks for sharing your quilting with us.
