The plan for this month was to get my version of Grassy Creek, the 2020 Bonnie Hunter Mystery quilt, assembled. That got done pretty early on during my sewing day.
Grassy Creek, the 2020 Bonnie Hunter Mystery Quilt |
My deep red looks more brown than red in this photo. I'm really happy with how my version came together. I had already decided not to add the borders from Bonnie's version. After playing in EQ a bit, I've worked out the borders I want to add. Fingers crossed Grassy Creek will be a finished flimsy in March.
Linking up with Elm Street Quilts for the February One Monthly Goal.
I love how your colors worked in this top and really like it - I don't remember off hand now what the borders were like in Bonnie's as I didn't do it this year - I did save the instructions though so might one day. Sometimes adding her borders is just too much and looks good a little simpler
ReplyDeleteIt turned out beautifully! And I’m so glad you posted today. I almost forgot to link up with my finish.
ReplyDeleteGrassy Creek looks great, Kate! I'm so glad you were able to have a sew day yesterday. Looking forward to seeing your idea for the borders!

Congratulations! I'm a fail again. I keep forgetting about it, even though it's right in front of me. It's been there 5 years, so I guess I should move it some place different and maybe remember it!
