With the addition of the last round of borders, it's now too big for the design wall. The purple fabric looks almost black in this photo, I just couldn't get the lighting right to get the true color. The quilt is actually much brighter in real life. All that's left is a narrow purple border followed by a dark blue border. Borders always take longer than I think they will, so it will probably be the end of next week before this one is finished.
Progress continues on the Square in a Square blocks for the Midnight Mystery quilt. I should have all those blocks finished in time to start on October's clue when it is issued. I still need to trim up the Layer Cake Quilt Along project and make the binding so I can finish it. I did come up with a

I love this design and the colors us used. All of the border designs move your eye around the quilt so well.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it funny how the camera just cannot read some colors? This WIP is so pretty. I love the effect of the inverted log cabin fows.
