PHD in 2023

I wrote yesterday morning about being fuzzy brained due to the Benadryl I had taken  It wasn't allergies, it's Covid. Yesterday wasn't fun at all.  I'm doing much better today, so I'm hoping the worst is over.

Yesterday's post was a summary of my PHD efforts in 2022. I'm looking forward to playing alone with Quilting Gail for the 2023 PHD

This my 5th year to participate in the challenge. I've never succeeded in finishing 12 UFOs and any new project starts.  I doubt it will be any different this year, but the challenge does give me a plan to follow as I work down my list.  Here's my list for this 2023.

My UFOs include last year's new mystery quilt starts, plus some older UFOs.  Here's a visual of the 12 projects.

Two UFOs are quilt tops, 2 have all the blocks made, but just need to be set together, the last 8 still need blocks made.  If I can make any progress on my list, I'll be happy.

The list also includes 5 new projects.  Three of them will need to be done in 2023 to earn my PHD, the other two are mystery quilts that will not finish in 2023, so they can carry over to next year.

It's an ambitious list, if I even get halfway through it, I'll be really happy.

  2. I'm so sorry to hear you have Covid, Kate. That is no fun! It's a great idea to keep a list of your UFOs and keep track of progress and finishes - I think all progress is good. And I definitely hope you feel better soon!

  6. I have to admit I wondered if it was Covid when you mentioned the mental fuzziness yesterday. I hope the worst is over and you feel fully recovered quickly. I look forward to following along with your progress this year. :)

  7. Sorry you’ve been sick. Our kids said the same thing about being “fuzzy brained.” We’ve still managed to avoid it, thank goodness. Good luck knocking down some of those UFO’s in 2023.
