Stitching Stuff: Week 37 of 2021

It was another crazy week at work.  I keep hoping it's going to calm down, but that doesn't seem to be in the cards.  My stitching time this week was impacted by a couple of late evenings at the office.

  • 15 minute days/week = 5/7 days
  • 15 minute days/Sept = 8/11 days
  • 15 minute days/2021 = 211/254
  • Success rate = 83.07%
I'm still stitching the majority of the week and that may be as good as it gets for the rest of this year.

The other fallout from the extra time at the office is that I'm not getting as much time to read blogs and follow up on comments to Life in Pieces.

This was one of the photos that didn't make the cut for this week's photo challenge to shoot what makes you happy.  Having time in the mornings to drink my first cup of coffee and read blog posts has become a bit of a luxury the last couple of months. Getting and staying caught up continues to be a challenge.  I do appreciate all the comments, I'm following up, just really slowly.  So thank you for being patient.

Are you keeping up with your stitching time goals?

  1. Having coffee and spending time on the computer is my favorite way to start the day too, although I've never been very good about responding to blog comments. I hope work settles down at least a little bit for you soon!

  4. It's sad that work has to get in the way of our fun. I do take my first cup of coffee to the computer most mornings and read blogs. But I sometimes fall behind in responding to comments too. This morning however, I'm checking a couple of blogs and then taking that coffee in the car. Heading to the zoo with a couple of grandkids.

  5. Morning coffee and blog reading are one of my favorite things, too! But please don't worry when you don't have time to reply. Life gets in the way sometimes, and we all understand that!

  6. I read blogs with my coffee too. My hat's off to you for finding any time at all for yourself!

  7. I love to read blogs in the morning over coffee too. I always feel I am behind and trying to catch up. There is so much inspiration out there. But you have to take care of you and not beat yourself up over what doesn't get done. With the net, it's all there waiting for when you get a minute.

  8. Don't worry about responding to comments. There are plenty of bloggers who never respond at all, so if you miss a few posts, we all understand. It's more important for you to spend time stitching to relax than to worry about comments.

  9. You keep up better than me, so don't stress to much about it. When work settles down .... one day you will get your time back.

  10. Kate, thank you so much for continuing to host these link-ups. It's been hard the last 3 weeks for me to get my own blog post created. Hope you are enjoying some stitching time this week!

  11. Neat shot - I think I’d have to take a picture of my sewing machine or my stitching!
