The photo challenge for this last week of July was another one open to interpretation.
Though I like my photo for the week, I'm not sure it really matches the brief. My Guy said yes, so I went with it.
Kate: Past It's Prime |
I really like the monotone tan with the pops of black and magenta.
My Guy went with texture as the focus of his shot.
My Guy: Lichen It |
The Scientist in Training kinda combined both of our subjects in her shot.
Scientist in Training: The Neglected Lab Plant |
You can tell where the SIT has been spending her time this week. But finals are over for the summer semester and she'll have time for some R&R over the next couple of weeks.
My Guy drew the card for week 6 of the challenge.
This week's challenge seems a bit mundane after death, boiling water, and decay.
PS: Due to all day long experiments and finals, the SIT got a bit behind on the photo challenge. She did get an image for last week's "Boiling Water" prompt, so I've update that post. You can click here to check it out.
It's always interesting to see what you and the family have been photographing! The amazing close-ups you can get always give a different perspective to the subject. Are you collecting all these into an album? That would be a fun memory from this challenge!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun family activity! You've all reminded me that closeups can be much more interesting.
ReplyDeleteMy "good" camera is sitting on the shelf above my desk, and sadly hasn't been used in ages. Our cell phone cameras are just too easy to use, but certainly doesn't take the quality of photos of my camera.
Its hard to pick a favorite with these three - I love them all. Yours reminds me of Fall, and his the old barns and rustic places. SIt's made me laugh - I know its a neglected plant - but have you ever looked in the fridge of a teenage boys college apartment - her photo took me there haha!!
ReplyDeleteI love them all. It’s interesting seeing how different your photos are from one another. What a fun challenge.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great family challenge these photo cards are turning out to be--thanks for sharing them too--
ReplyDeleteI can think of one--leaf--that is not a leaf--an extra table leaf--that just happened to pop into my head as I was writing this!!!!
Have a great week and stay safe--
luv, di
I really like your entry - the colors are fabulous.
ReplyDeleteThree more great photos!
ReplyDeleteYou guys are SO good at this!!
