The Thanksgiving holiday was a quiet one for us. The Scientist in training got to come home for the first time in months. We all had the week off. So we got to spend some time just hanging out. Naps were a popular past time with the college girl and I got to spend a lot of time up in the sewing room. Thanksgiving dinner was a very small affair, but the food was good and we had fun.
Having five days off was nice, there was time to get caught up on a bit of housework, get the Christmas tree up and wrap a few presents in addition to getting in a few hours of sewing time every day this week.

Nice pic of the SIT.
ReplyDeleteglad you were able to have a visit with the Kids and decorate! I haven't done that yet
ReplyDeleteI'm glad SIT was able to come home. I would have preferred a small, simple Thanksgiving too, but Hubby wanted everyone here.
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a great holiday...have a great day!
Just hanging out with your kid home from college is the best! Glad you enjoyed that and some sewing time, too!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you have some time with SIT! Enjoy! Great photo of her!

ReplyDeleteSad news from Nascar--the tire changer on the 88 car-and his new bride of only 3 days died in a car crash in the Keys on Friday-- they were on their honeymoon--he was only 30 and she was only 23--both nice people and fun and upbeat to be with every one said--
take care and stay safe--luv and hugs, di
Happy Thanksgiving! Sounds like an ideal few days!!
ReplyDeleteWe finished our “drive by” on Thursday at our younger daughter’s house. We were not planning to stay, but her husband convinced us that since it was just them, with no extra people, that we needed to stay and eat with them. So glad we did.
Lovely that there was plenty of down time to spend together, with some needle and thread time too.
ReplyDeleteI am glad you got to spend quality time with your family. I had more stitching time, and cooking time, which was nice and relaxing.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a terrific week! So glad you got time in the sewing room every day after the prior weeks were so busy. Yes, the next few weeks will go buy quickly. Thanks so much for hosting!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving, I'm so chill about Christmas it will be a very small affair and I'm not even worrying about getting in much food, though I probably need to start thinking about it otherwise there will be slim pickings at the shops.
ReplyDeleteNice to have your daughter home and still get time to sew. I think many of us had a smaller number of family gathered this Thanksgiving, which meant lots of leftovers here - lol!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great week and that looks like the perfect amount of mashed potatoes for three people! Mmmmmm
