There's lots going on in the sewing room. Four mystery quilt alongs in progress:
Mosaic Mystery Quilt from Cheryl at Meadow Mist Designs |
2019 Christmas Mystery designed by Carrie Randall (Quilter's Hideaway) |
Quiltgirl Winter Quilt Along Alycia Quilts |
Frolic Bonnie Hunter 2019 Mystery Quilt |
Of those four only the 2019 Christmas Mystery is far enough along that it could be a finished flimsy by the end of the month.
Or I could focus on the new borders I decided that Twinkle Stars needed.

There's no chance of getting in another finish before the end of the year. But it would be nice to get one off the UFO list in January. Since Twinkle Stars is the closest to finished flimsy, it just makes sense to put in the effort on that project. So that's the plan, get Twinkle Stars to finished flimsy. Fingers crossed that I can make that happen before the calendar turns over to the new year.
Last month I picked the simplest of goals that took me about 2 hours to complete. This month I chose a bit bigger goal. I would go for easy this month if I were you.
ReplyDeleteI always tend to concentrate on one when I get close to a finish. However do you wake at 4:30 each morning? I wouldn't be able to do that but then I don't sleep well at all but I am still normally up by 7
ReplyDeleteThat was my pick too. You are doing this to please me, aren’t you? So sorry about the reports. I don’t even work any more, but I’m always up early too. I used to work with someone who worked the night shift at the hospital, as did her husband. They kept to the same up at night sleeping during the day schedule even on their days off. I always wondered how hard it would be to go grocery shopping in the middle of the night.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck to you to get Twinkle Stars to a finished flimsy by 12/31. I've enjoyed watching all your progress on this one. It's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteGood to be realistic in your goals sometimes right? I love the new borders on Twinkle Stars, and thanks for the reminder to get my OMG post up!
ReplyDeleteI’m sorry your day off started so poorly, but I’m glad you were up early and knocked it out. Once I’m back to getting a solid night’s sleep (post little people and their bad sleep!) I look forward to easing back into early mornings, I love them!
ReplyDeleteGreat quilt. Thanks for linking up with Elm Street Quilts One Monthly Goal and good luck with your project.
