After a couple of 15 minute sessions this week, I've only managed to turn one corner of the Magnolia Mystery Quilt. I'm hoping to get in some more stitches on that today. You can check out who else is working on hand stitching over at Slow Stitching Sunday at Kathy's Quilts.
Between work and sinus headaches, time and energy were in short supply this week. It's week's like this that finding the motivation is such a challenge, but I'm always glad to see the progress when I succeed in finding my way to the sewing room.
15 minutes stitching days/week = 6/7 days
15 minutes stitching days/August = 11/18 days
15 minutes stitching days/2018 = 213/230 days
Success rate = 92.61 days
How did your efforts go at finding time to stitch this week? You can link up and share at the bottom of the post.
The stash report is a mix of the good and the bad. My resistance broke this week and I ended up adding quite a bit of fabric. The local quilt shop had a 35% off end of bolt sale. Combine that fabric with the Connecting Threads' order that came in this week and I ended up almost doubling the incoming numbers. It's at this point that reporting my failure to maintain a fabric diet demotivates me from tracking the stash, so from here on out, I'm just focusing on what I used.
Fabric used this week: 0.61 yards
Fabric used in 2018: 29.29
More fabric in than out for 2018
Linking up with Quiltpaintcreate for the weekly stash report.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Here's Mr. Linky if you want to share how motivated you were on the stitching front this week.

Hope you have lots of stitching time today. Your green binding looks perfect with the colours in your quilt.
ReplyDeleteThat's very pretty backing and a great colour for the binding.
ReplyDeleteIt is hard to find some stitching time each week, but every little bit is progress. I hope you are able to turn another corner on that quilt soon. It is very pretty.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your NBS day! You have definitely earned it. I might try to take one too. Your binding and backing for the Magnolia Mystery look great together.
ReplyDeleteI'd like it to be a NBS kind of day. Somehow I got roped in to going shopping with my mother-in-law, nephew and my son. Yuck! I'd much rather be sewing!
ReplyDeleteThat is a pretty backing fabric and the binding goes so well with it. Enjoy your NBS Day! Hope those sinus headaches go away for good.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the stitching today! I tend to get 20 minutes of slow stitching in the car line now that the kids are back in school.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of a Nothing But Sewing day! I'll have to keep that in mind! Hope some relaxing hand stitching helps with your headache. I always wonder if a batch of strange weather brings those on.
ReplyDeleteThat is the perfect project for a low energy week... hand binding AND dimples fabric (I loved that fabric line in every colour!) ENJOY!
ReplyDeletehope you have time to stitch today - I find time every evening for an hour or two before I go to bed
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see the finished quilt! We have had a very wet summer here too, we have not had to turn the sprinkler system on at all.
ReplyDeleteSomething's in the air...I've noticed over the last two weeks that my sinuses were draining again. *sigh* And I wake up with pressure and sinus headaches. I hope you get to feeling better soon. An NBS days sounds like the perfect prescription! :)
ReplyDeleteOh! Sinus headaches are the worst! Hugs and healing to you! Good for you - just tracking your usage numbers! I never could resist a good sale myself! :)
