All the pieces of Celtic Solstice are sewn into blocks.
Celtic Solstice a Bonnie Hunter Mystery |
It doesn't look much different than last week in the picture. I need to cut some more pieces in order to finish more blocks.
Scrappy Stars has been my leaders and enders project for the last few months. One more star was finished this weekend.

Only 2 or 3 more stars left to make for this project and I can start setting them together. Scrappy Stars is my oldest UFO. It would be nice to finish it this year.
In between stitching on the machine, I've been pressing fabric and cutting scraps. I'm determined to get my sewing room better organized this year. I'm hoping that getting all my fabric where I can see it will make it easier to resist purchasing any more.
That's it for what's new on my design wall. Check out all the other cool design walls over at Patchwork Times.
Your mystery blocks are beautiful! Love your colours!
ReplyDeleteLovely project you have going there!
ReplyDeleteOh and those piles of laundry are considered indoor compost heaps around here when they get out of control.
I love the colors you selected for your mystery blocks, the colors really pop!
ReplyDeleteLove your color choices for the Celtic Solstice. I've also been working on getting my sewing room organized. Cutting up the scraps has bee a big part of that. I'm using my GO and it's making the process almost fun. ;)
ReplyDeleteI love your colors for Celtic Solstice too! ~Melanie
ReplyDeleteI've never quite understood the concept of leaders and enders. I know it's a Bonnie Hunter thing, right? She even spoke at our guild and I think she talked about it -- I just don't get it! I like your star block -- the print is gorgeous!! :)
ReplyDeleteWhen you get organized, come over here and help me with mine. I am once again blown away at how different the same pattern can look with just different fabric. But we both need to keep going.
ReplyDeleteYour Celtic Solstice blocks are lovely! I can relate to your pile of laundry--I have one that needs some serious help!

Can't wait for your reveal of Celtic Solstice! You are whipping those blocks together! Also, did someone say SCRAPPY Stars????? That one is going to be awesome! I am blessed/cursed that my laundry is right by my sewing area, so I tend to stay on top of laundry. It's a necessary evil! LOL
ReplyDeleteLove the fabric on that scrappy star!
ReplyDeleteCeltic Solstice is looking really fantastic Kate. Thats going to an eye popping beauty of a quilt.
ReplyDeleteI love any kind of stars in quilts. Ive never made one myself but Im going to this year so we can spur each other on!

ReplyDeleteYes, that is going to be a striking quilt! I like the colors in your scrappy star quilt. That is one of my favorite color combinations.
ReplyDeletewith only a few stars left to stitch i bet that you have it finished very soon and i bet it's gorgeous~!
