15 Minute Challenge - April 10th

Our Easter weekend was a four day one since Drama Teen gets Easter Monday off school.  As much as I enjoy those type of holidays, there is this time warp feeling that makes the Tuesday back to work morning just feel weird.  Easter was lovely, the rest of the weekend was a bit busy.  DT had a volleyball tournament on Saturday, after which she and I drove 4 hours to join My Guy in Missouri to celebrate Easter with his family.  We drove home yesterday, but as taxes are due next weekend, that was the main item on the agenda once we got home.

So how much sewing got done?  Some, but not much.

The new computer showed up Wednesday and it took a couple of days to get the software and back up files loaded.  So in total, only 3 days of sewing over the last 7.  I've done worse.  Unfortunately, this week is not likely to be much improved.  The swim team banquet is this evening, taxes still need to be finished and deadlines at work are going to mean overtime the rest of the week.  So I don't have a lot of hope that much sewing will happen this week.  It will slow down at some point, I'm just not sure when.

How are you doing in finding a few minutes here and there to sew?   Write up a post and link up using Mr. Linky.  Since no sewing is going on here, I'm looking forward to seeing what you are up too.

  1. My sewing has been woefully neglected. I've played in fabrics and on EQ, but no sewing. My machine travels to the shop Thursday and then hopefully I'll get it back and be more productive!! I'm *so* glad you've got your computer up and running and no more worries or woes there! :)

  2. I've finished the HUGE king sized top I'm making for a fundraiser for our school. Well, I finished the piecing and have to do some applique. May as well get on that today, right?

  3. I managed to finish a quilt this week and did some more hexie flowers so I feel like I achieved something for once !

I think this was a slow week for a lot of people though ...maybe Easter put a crimp in more than a few sewing plans.

  4. I ended up with a 6 day break finding it very hard to get motivated to get ready for work, have to leave in 15 minutes so I had better get my butt into gear

  5. I decided not to link up this week because I didn't do any sewing this week. I didn't even think about sewing. I could try to come up with seven different ways to say nothing .. but that gets dull after a while.

Thanks for the challenge even though I failed miserably. I'm hoping to get some sewing in over the next few weeks.
