15 Minute Challenge - September 20th

I believe in living life to the fullest, but having a full schedule can be draining.  The 15 Minute Challenge came about as a way to help me find time to sew in a busy schedule and it's worked pretty well.  However, with the current demands on my time due to work projects, Kiddo's schedule, and absence of the guy I usually share the load with, it's been too easy to say I'm too tired and just not make the effort.  I did better this week then last week in finding the time to spend in my sewing room, even though my stash report and design wall don't really support that.

A total of 5 out of 7 days is pretty good.  Thursday's are going to be hard due to Kiddo's volleyball games.  This Friday won't be as busy as last Friday and I'll be more motivated over the weekend to get some new stuff going in the sewing room.  So maybe I'll manage 6 days next week.

How did you do on your personal sewing challenge?  Link up and let us know.

  2. I'm in design panic at the moment so the 15 min challenge has been pretty easy for me this week. I have been trying to study for work as well but found out on Monday I was doing the wrong course so have dropped that for a bit. I have started taking sewing to the kids sports been getting a bit done while squid is swimming. Just have to remember to watch every now and again lol.

  3. Really loving this challenge! Have been doing a little bit each day. Looks like you had a good week Kate even with your busy schedule.I'm going to try a bit of Stash Organising next week too!

  4. Given all the competing demands on your time this week Kate I think you still did pretty well to get anything done!

Although my week was pretty stellar I'm expecting all that crafty motivation to disappear any minute!

  5. The '15 Minute' concept has helped me this week with the quilting of my BTG quilt. I set the clock, sew for 15 minutes, rest for 15 etc. etc.

  6. Five days out of seven is really good! I have done no days in fourteen thanks to my "stuffy" head!

  7. Ooh, I'm so happy to see how your challenge is growing. You did great with your challenge this week. I did better, but still only one day at the sewing machine. Since all my machines are kaput at the moment, the most I can do next week is organize my stash and plan the next project.
