This is back to school week which has it's own craziness. Hopefully we'll get into a reasonable schedule in the next couple of weeks. Actually, now that I think about it, probably not. Swim practice is on hiatus until the last week of August, which is when My Guy leaves on his next 4 week long overseas assignment. So maybe no routine till he gets home in late September. Well at least my life is not one big rut.
It is Tuesday, so it's time to confess how well I did on keeping to my effort to sew for at least 15 minutes every day. The 15 Minute Challenge is intended to give me that little push to sew each day, and hopefully make more progress on all my quilt projects this year. Which in turn means I'll use more fabric, so then I can buy more fabric.
A total of 4 out of 7 days where 15 minutes was spent on quilt related projects isn't bad, especially since we were off on a family adventure most of the week. Last night was back to school night for Kiddo and I had some parent/teacher organization stuff that had to be done, so the sewing room remained dark. This week should be better, no other obligations are on the calendar.
How did you do with your craft plans for the week? Link up and share your success or morn your failure.
I wish you all the best as you try to get back into a routine.
ReplyDeleteI didn't get any teaching work this semester so going back (if I do) next February will be interesting!!
Plenty of sewing go on here though!
4 out of 7 is still pretty darn good considering you were away on a family adventure.
ReplyDeleteAnd you are now officially kicking my butt with the Flurry quilt !
I haven't reported on the last couple of weeks, so this week I reported back on all three weeks. There was a quiet week on the second, though when you distribute out the number of hours over the three it looks like I got lots done!
ReplyDeleteFour out of Seven days is great! Good luck on working out your 'new' schedule this week!!
Great finishes for the week considering your crazy schedule. ☺ And you worked on Flurry...good job! Mine's staring at me from the corner of the room awaiting me to pick it up and get it done. LOL
ReplyDeleteHappy Tuesday!
It's great that you found any time to sew at all. The first week is always so crazy. I don't miss it :)
ReplyDeleteYou did way better than I did. I think I did some crazy quilting one evening, for quite a while, and that was it. Good luck with the routine development.
ReplyDeleteBack to school already? Boy how I do NOT miss those days. I would hate for Hubby to be gone for 4 weeks. I hope you have a good support system there. What do you do when you both have to be out of town?
ReplyDeletebtw, I did absolutely no sewing this past week. I measured a couple of yards of fabric, but that's it. Not worth reporting.
I think 4 of 7 is great .. good luck with getting the routine going.
ReplyDeleteHad my share of parent teacher conferences. Glad those are a thing of the past. You did well on your sewing despite your busy life. Hope your guy comes back safe and sound.
