I'm almost glad it's Monday. I get to spend most of the day in air conditioning. Kiddo had an outdoor swim meet last weekend, so we spent the last couple of days out in the 106 to 110 F heat. That meet ends her long course season, so we'll get a few weekends at home. Hopefully I can get in several hours of serious sewing next weekend.
I have been sneaking in 30 minutes to an hour of sewing most evenings. I've made some headway on the Flurry quilt.
But I'm way behind Larri, Marg and Shay in this quit along. If I do get a chance for significant sewing next weekend, this is the project I'll be tackling. I did work some on the GFG quilt while sitting out in the heat this weekend, but not enough to finish a block.

ReplyDeleteLove your pattern and thanks for the info on where to find it. Cute fabrics in your gift boxes.
ReplyDeleteCute Christmas boxes! Maybe that's what I should do with all the leftover 12 Days charms...
ReplyDeleteLove the flurry quilt! Didn't realize you were doing it too!
ReplyDeleteI, too, love this quilt. It looks pretty easy to do and a great way to use up leftover Christmas fabric. This looks like a Christmas gift to me. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful quilt! Is the pattern posted anywhere? I would love to make this quilt for gifts.
ReplyDeleteIt looks wonderful Kate. So cute and gosh you've made some headway. It comes together pretty fast too.
ReplyDeleteBy the way Larri just commented on one of my posts ...she's finished her top, Marg has done her borders so it's just you and me at the boxes end kid!
Kate, your gift boxes are beautiful! I think the red-bowed box with the cardinals in the trees is my favorite. ☺ You did way more than expected given your busy swim weekend. At this pace, you'll be finished quilting before I get the top sandwiched!
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday evening! ☺ Hope it cools down. Alas, it's 96° and HUMID here in SC.
Your Christmas boxes are looking fabulous, i love all the combinations, it's going to look wonderful when it's finished.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry about catching up to me, I won't be doing any sewing for the next 7 days so you will have time to catch up and probably streak ahead.
Pretty pretty packages tied with with string!
ReplyDeleteSorry about all that heat, hope you have more cool weather in the next week or two. I can't imagine enjoying stitching too much while sweating.
What cute blocks!
