Stash Report - May 1st

Wow, it's already the 1st of May!  I'm ready for the warmer weather (remind me I said that when we get to the scorching temperatures of August).

The week was spent sewing the Castle quilt's blocks and rows together.  Most of that yardage was counted last week.  I did get the borders put on last night, so that could be counted in today's report.   Here's the stash numbers:

Used this week:  1.35 yards
Added this week: 0 yards

Used year to date:  19.94 yards
Added year to date: 16 yards

Net Used for 2011:  3.94 yards

Fabric Budget 13 yards for April to June
Bought/Budget:  9/13 yards

I'm slowly recovering from April's fabric purchase.  My goal for this year is to use more than I buy, so I'm on track there.

How are you doing on your stash management?  Check out Patchwork Times for more stash reporting.

  1. Good report and the Castles quilt is adorable.

It's 40 degrees windchill this morning with rain. I'm ready for the warmer weather, but not the August weather, yet.

  3. I've lost the plot with fabric this week (again ) although I think I have almost as much going out as I have coming in.

You're doing brilliantly Kate. Keep it up!

  4. Hope you can keep your warmer temps (you told me about possible colder weather coming)!

I did very little sewing this past week. I don't know if it was just laziness or what! Although there were a couple of days I did spend a few hours in my sewing room, so if you spread that out over the course of one week, it doesn't seem so bad. I was just doing so well up until then!

I do have two baby quilts to do now, so maybe that will motivate me. One has to wait until we find out what it is, but I can plan my first girl quilt now!

  5. Hooray for the borders on the quilt! Sounds like you are moving right along on it. :)

And your numbers look awesome! Way to go!

  6. I think I need to have you be my mentor for keeping my fabric purchases down. Wonderful job!

  7. So how is Nora doing? Hope your gift, the cute Castle quilt, gets to her real soon. May it is--next thing we'll be hearing Christmas! Sandi
