Stash Report - May 15th

It's been a good weekend so far, probably because I decided that the house really wasn't complaining about the dirty floors and the dusty furniture (neither was anyone else in the family), so why worry?  I took a mental health day and spent it sewing instead. Definitely a wise decision.

I've sewn for at least 15 minutes almost every day this week.  The mini sewing retreat yesterday allowed me to finish up a lot of stuff.  The back for the Castle quilt is done.  I also finished binding the Brown Bag BOM, now it just needs the label.  With all that, the stash report looks pretty good this week.

Used this week: 2.25 yards
Added this week: 0 yards

Used year to date:  22.45 yards
Added year to date:  16 yards

Net used for 2011: 6.45 yards

Fabric Budget: 13 yards for April to June
Bought/Budget:  9/13 yards

No fabric in this week, which helps.  I'm slowly climbing up the positive side of the hill after the fabric purchases from last month.  The fabric budget is in good shape, but it is getting hard to resist buying some of the gorgeous new stuff that is coming out.  I really do have to delete the emails from Hancocks and Luana Rubin, it's just too much temptation!

Check out Judy's Patchwork Times for more stash reports.

  1. Any week that is zero added is a great week. I love the idea of a fabric budget.

  3. In 15 minutes a day you have accomplished quite a bit of sewing. It is the little things that seem to take the most time.

  7. Good going! Glad to hear you took a whole day to yourself. We really need to do that every so often. Funny how we always put these 'I should be doing...' things on our list, and the reality is, we're the only ones thinking 'I should be...'.
    Have a great Sunday!

  8. I had to go and see who Luana Rubin was - because if she has crazy fabric bargains I want some. I guess this shows why I dont do my own weekly stash report.

You're doing so well Kate. More out than in is an incredible achievement.

  9. Mental health day - I love it! I figure as long as Hubby isn't complaining about the state of the house, I won't worry about it. Good for you getting in so much quilting. I have done absolutely nothing this week.
