I spent my Easter afternoon in the sewing room. You'd think I'd have more to show for my efforts, but there was more going on than is currently up on the design wall.
I've finished all the square in a square blocks for the week 5 border of the Stay at Home Round Robin project. The left border is sewn together. Since this photo was taken, it's been pinned to the rest of the quilt top. A few more pinwheel blocks are finished. There are still 16 of those left to make to finish out the week 6 border.
Cutting fabric has slowed me down a bit. I've had to cut pieces to continue using Chilhowie as a leaders and enders. I'm hoping to play some catching up with Diatom this month, so I spent some time cutting out block 3. Block 8 comes out this Friday, so I'd like to make some progress on 3 and 4 before then.
That's what's been going on in my sewing room. You can see how others are doing by checking out the Design Wall Monday and Patchwork & Quilts linky parties.
Your color scheme is fabulous and those bird blocks so cute!
ReplyDeleteyour quilt is coming along fine - we all used to meet for the holidays too and gradually most just did by themselves. Still some get together but outside and the weather hasn't always cooperated with that so it seems more and more didn't come and had other places with more comfort in mind LOL - we stayed home and one of our daughters was here for awhile
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you had a lovely weekend! And your quilt is so pretty. Totally loving the color and design.
ReplyDeleteI really like how you're doing those borders. The green diamond works perfectly with the blue squares.
ReplyDeleteHolidays sure change when our kids are all grown up.
A hike and lunch out sound like the perfect date! We're hoping to do something like that this week, too. I always enjoy seeing your SAHRR progress. The square in a square border with a few diamonds is looking great!
ReplyDeleteCutting fabric does take quite a bit of time (and concentration). It sounds and looks like great progress to me!
ReplyDeleteYour pinwheels blocks look very pretty, you did great with this row on your SAHRR project! Thank you for sharing your progress, and linking up.
