Center birds were made using "Feathers" by Margot Languedoc Designs from The Pattern Basket. |
Borders 1, 2 and 3 are complete. border 4 is almost there. There are elements of borders 5 and 6 completed. Here's the EQ version.
I'm excited to finish this project. It's been fun working with each one of the design elements. I'll definitely be playing along next year, though I really need to seriously downsize my project for next year. Even a throw sized quilt is tough in 7 weeks.
You can check out all the other 2023 SAHRR quilts over at Quilting Gail's. There are some very creative projects this year.
Your EQ plans for your SAHRR are so pretty, Kate, and you have all the elements started. When the time is right, you'll get this one finished. I've really enjoyed seeing your project come together!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you have to stay out of the sewing room and minimize computer time, but hopefully it leads to faster healing. Your progress looks great and your EQ8 illustration gets me excited to see it all come together when you are feeling better.
ReplyDeleteI really like the colors in your quilt, so bright and vivid! Your design is lovely too. Sorry you can't sew now but you can pull fabrics together for the next project.
ReplyDeletehope your shoulder issues will heal soon - I don't know if you have ever heard of a Tens Unit for electrical stimulation to muscles and don't know if it would be helpful to you. I use one off and on when I have shoulder/neck/back issues. You can find out more about them from you doctor or google for physical therapy - I first started to use one for neck PT and that was years ago and they helped me purchase one - now you can buy them on Amazon
ReplyDeleteThis quilt is so pretty! You’ve done remarkably well with this project in spite of your shoulder and back problems. I’m so sorry. I know how frustrating that is.
ReplyDeleteAs I recall, this was your first SAHRR. If you look at the final link-up, you'll see that many of the participants now downsize their projects by combining multiple rounds
ReplyDeleteinto fewer borders. I'm sure you learned a lot from this year's experience and your colors are perfect. Hope your aches and pains lessen soon.

It’s turning out really pretty. The green border is perfect.
ReplyDeleteYour SAHRR is going to be SEW pretty when it's complete. Happy finishing, Kate!
ReplyDeleteIts going to be great!!!
ReplyDeleteLove all the colors you use in it!
