Stitching Stuff: Week 10 of 2023

Did you over sleep this morning?  It's the first morning of Daylight Savings Time.  We tend to take the time changes in stride, I know many aren't so thrilled with the biannual disruption to their schedules. I'm looking forward to additional daylight at the end of the day, I tend to sew more in the evening if the sun is up.

This wasn't the greatest week on the stitching front.  I'm not sure if I've just reached "that age" or if all my efforts to get fitter backfired. Just as my shoulder was just about back to normal, I managed to wrench my back.  Wednesday wasn't fun at all, but by today, things seem to lining out again.  But there were a couple of days where sitting any length of time just wasn't happening.

  • 15 minute days/week = 5/7 days
  • 15 minute days/March = 8/11 days
  • 15 minute days/2023 = 60/70 days
  • Success rate = 85.71%
Sometimes life happens and you just have to go with the flow. I'm hoping this is it for being side lined by aches and pains.

How did your stitchy week work out?

  1. Oh I feel you, Kate! I’ve been having lots of trouble with my shoulder lately. And can so relate to getting one problem tamed only to have another crop up.

  2. I am so sorry to hear about your back , Kate. Sometimes it seems mishaps happen in multiples. I hope you feel better very soon. You have a great attitude about it. I agree sometimes we have to go with the flow. Have a great week.

  5. Last time I decided to take up a new form of exercise (one of those Dance Video's things) I threw my hip out so bad I could hardly walk without hobbling for a week. Now I just keep it to walking on the tread mill or down to the beach, I should do more but I don't know if it worth it. Hopefully your back improves soon.

  6. I love Daylight Savings. Unfortunately ours down here ends in a couple of weeks. Getting older is sometimes no fun. Sometimes there's no rhyme or reason for the new aches we feel. Hope you get more stitching time in this week.

  7. I would have slept in until noon except we were camping at a state park and the surrounding kids were up early. You still had a good week, despite the shoulder.

  8. Kate I’m hoping your aches and pains are going to settle down. I’m sure you’ve had your whole years tribulations already. This year I didn’t even notice the time change. I must be getting old 😳
