The last couple of weeks have been pretty lean on stitching time. So lean, there was no point in posting a To do List last week. Thus my last list dates from the week of April 19th.
Weekly To Do List for 4/19/22
- Potions: Make binding, attach to front of quilt, start hand stitching to back ✔
It took two weeks, but this item is checked off. So I'm going to take that as a win considering just how crappy the last two weeks have been.
Apparently, there are last minute additions to the project that required so much overtime the last few weeks. So I'm not done. Unfortunately, this week includes an all day, off site meeting that I have to attend, plus stuff that I've put off to finish this project. It's not going to be a fun week on the work front and therefore not on the stitching front either since this is going to require more overtime. So this week's list is going to be really short.
Weekly To Do List for 5/3/2022
Potions: Finish hand stitching the binding.
I've turned one corner of the binding and am close to turning a second corner. This needs to be done by the weekend. We'll see if I get that far.
That's my to do list for this next week. Linking up with Texas Quilt Gal for To Do Tuesday.
it has sounded like you are way too busy at work - I hope things calm down soon for you
ReplyDeleteGood luck! You have worked so hard on Potions and there is no doubt that you will finish this quilt on time. Take good care of yourself. It sounds like a stressful time at work.
ReplyDeleteI hope work settles down for you very soon and the long hours come to an end.
ReplyDeleteThat backing print for Potions is so perfect!
busy but nice progress
ReplyDeleteUgh on the work. I hope you find some time for sewing. I'm excited to see Potions!
ReplyDeleteThank you for linking with To Do Tuesday!
Work plans that go astray are so frustrating! Wishing you a less stressful week on that front. Potions is such a special quilt! It will be fabulous!
ReplyDeleteGood Lucky this week. Potions quilt is almost finish.
ReplyDeleteStay Strong, it will soon be over! Good work on potions, love the colors!
ReplyDeleteIt's looking good! Hopefully, things will settle down for you soon, and you can get back to more stitching.
ReplyDeleteSounds like this has been the project from *you know where* for you! I hope this week sees you getting past it, with life more back to normal soon. I'm excited to see your Potions finish!
ReplyDeleteMy fingers are crossed that you find time to finish your binding. Your work project sounds never-ending! I’m working this week - but it’s more boring than anything. I’m helping in the booth and going to some conference sessions for “the boss”, so he can go to other sessions. The topic doesn’t excite me. Oh well. Most likely I’ll never get out of the hotel all week except one evening we are meeting some old friends for dinner. All in all - I’d rather be on vacation. LOL
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your goal!! It's been a while since I hand stitched a binding. On baby quilts a machine sewn is more secure, so I have been doing that instead.
ReplyDeleteHi Kate! Ooh, Potions is so very close to being complete. I'm sorry you are having to work so much overtime! That binding handwork might just relax you a bit in the evenings, and if not, it's no big deal. You'll get it done soon enough. {{Hugs}} a bunch for you. ~smile~ Roseanne
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear things have been so busy at work. I hope you can get the binding complete in time for this weekend. Sending you a lot of love!
ReplyDeleteHi Kate:
ReplyDeleteKeeping it real has its advantages. Use the little stitch time you get this week to destress with that binding on Potions. I love the colors. Have a great week!
Ah you are so close! This is why I machine bind! I don't mind the hand sewing at all but I have come to lack the patience.
ReplyDeleteOh Go you!!!
ReplyDeleteTake the win!!!
I'm thinking your amazing Potions quilt is finished. How exciting!
