Stitching Stuff: Week 10 of 2022

I had so hoped that March was going to be smooth sailing. That's not been the case so far.  Work hasn't been fun, which led to one late night at work this week.  Then yesterday one of those darn squirrels made life even less fun.  Unfortunately, I'm talking about the real life squirrel that decided he had to cross the biking path at the same time My Guy was riding through.  I spent most of yesterday in the Emergency room.  They didn't like the scans of his neck and face, so they transferred him to Tulsa.  Thankfully the neck injury didn't involve the spinal column, but he did have surgery to repair the bones in his face.  I'm hoping he gets to come home today.  Even so I suspect that a significant portion of today will be spent at the hospital.

Needless to say my stitching metrics took a bit of a hit this week.

  • 15 minute days/week = 5/7 days
  • 15 minute days/February = 28/28 days
  • 15 minute days/March = 3/5 days
  • 15 minute days/2022 = 60/64 days
  • Success rate = 93.75%

I'm still managing to stitch over 90% of the time, so I'm not doing too badly on getting myself to the sewing room on a consistent basis.

I sincerely hope your week was better than mine. Please link up below and share how well your efforts at finding time to stitch went.

  1. Oh, I hope it's going to be a happy end very quickly, with bruises and few stitches, not more. Good luck, and take care of you two. Hand sewing is a great activity while waiting. Hugs.

  2. Wow that sounds like a horrible bike accident and I am wondering how he even managed to get home - I hope he was wearing a helmet and surgery for facial bone injuries - the poor guy must be a mess.

  3. Quilting squirrels may be fun, but the real kind can be trouble. They love to get into our attic. So sorry to hear about your guy's injuries, and I hope he has a speedy recovery.

  12. Oh my goodness. So sorry that the pesky creature created such a terrible situation. I have had to back off my sewing as I was putting too much pressure on myself with many other high priorities going on. Gave myself a migraine and had to take a day off from everything. Wishing guy a speedy recovery and you some peace. EHUGS!!!
