The first full week of 2022 is in the bag. I survived the first week back in the office. Things started off slow, things will ramp up pretty quickly, but hopeful not to the point they did last year.
The Scientist in Training has been home this week. Tomorrow she heads back to college for her last semester of undergraduate. It's been nice to have someone to hang out with in the sewing room. It does make it easier to make the trek upstairs when you know someone is waiting on you. Hopefully I don't fall back into bad habits when she leaves because it was a really good week on the stitching front.

Great stitching week, Kate! You will miss the SIT.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week.
It's hard to believe that the SIT is nearly done with undergrad. I know you enjoy having her home for the holidays. Congrats on 100% for stitching time!
ReplyDeletegreat your daughter is in the last semester now - hope it goes well for her
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy hearing that 2 or more generations enjoy being in the sewing room together. I haven't had any luck yet on that front. My girls never had any interest in sewing. But I'm hoping my granddaughters will eventually want to. Olivia likes to pet my fabric. And Sophia said "someday" she might want to learn to sew.
ReplyDeleteKeep up the great percentage. They say it takes 3 weeks to break a bad habit (not sewing every single day is a bad habit in my book). You're inspiring me and I appreciate you hosting this party! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteIt is so wonderful that you have had another great week in the sewing room. I am working hard to spend 15 minutes a day quilting . I appreciate your motivation and you hosting the link party. Happy quilting.
ReplyDeleteGreat first week, Kate! Wishing you some lovely stitching time this coming week. We've already hit the ground running at work running new client training sessions several each week to get a project done by the end of Q1.
ReplyDeleteHi Kate, that's a great start. I ended up starting very, very slowly. I am working on a squirrel project that needs to get finished so that I can quilt my son's quilt this year....boy, everyone is going to hear about all that again! lol
ReplyDeleteTake care.
You're off to a great start with the stitching and the calm at work. I hope they both continue. My nephew and niece are also in their last semester at school.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had fun with SIT Kate. It is nice to have company while you create.
ReplyDeleteStitching with someone else is always a great motivator. I miss stitching with my friends this covid stuff is really the pits for that.
