Three months down, nine to go in 2021. One of my goals is to finish 8 quilts this year, one more than I've ever managed. I'm hoping Quilting Gail's PHD in 2021 will keep me motivated enough to reach that goal.
March's report shows a finish, finally!
So one finish in the bag, seven more to go!
No other finishes for the month, but there was good progress on the current list of works in progress.
Grassy Creek went from assembled blocks to finished quilt top. The backing has been made and prepped to send out for quilting. The task for April is to get the top pressed and cleaned up so it can go out for quilting.
All the blocks are finished for the Morewood Mystery. This month the goal is to get the blocks sewn together and to get the borders attached.
Border number two for step 7 is assembled for the Bonnie Hunter mystery Unity. This is the current leaders and enders project. It's moving slowly, but it is coming together.
That's the progress for March. Fingers crossed I can get one more quilt out for quilting and another to finished quilt top stage by the end of the month.
Linking up with Quilting Gail's March PHD in 2021 linky party.
Lots of progress to celebrate,Kate! It all means time spent with needle and thread, which is always a good thing. ;)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your finish!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd good for you, making progress on your other quilts! Especially the Bonnie Hunter ones - they are big quilts to finish!
Well done!
Happy Quilting! :-)
great progress - keep up the good work
ReplyDeleteLooks like that 1 will change to 3 very soon! I currently have 3 quilts - all UFOs - in the hands of 2 different quilters. I can't wait to get them all back and have more binding to do. LOL
ReplyDeleteYou've made some really good progress, Kate. I can only imagine how much Trudy appreciates the effort you go through to clean up and prepare your tops for quilting. Oh how I wish my friends were as diligent!
ReplyDeleteI love your Before and After photos! Great progress!
ReplyDeleteOne year I finished 12 quilts. For years i'd been making blocks but not finished quilts. It was time! I kept my long-armer busy! I just needed to set them into quilt tops.
ReplyDeleteGreat progress made in your sewing room!
ReplyDeleteMarch was a very good month for you! The Picnic Quilt is perfect and Grassy Creek is ready to go. Unity looks to be a pretty one too and soon will also be off to the quilter. I think it'll be a busy post for April Progress. Great job.
ReplyDeleteGreat progress in the first quarter!
