Stitching Time: Week 4 of 2021

In recent years, January has always seemed to pass so much slower than the other months of the year.  I wonder if that's because the last two months of the previous year there is lots of rushing around with holiday stuff and this month is so slow by comparison?  We've reached the 4th Sunday of January and still have one more full week before February begins. So if this week wasn't good on the stitching front, there is still one more left to work in some stitching time.

Work was still a bit nuts this week.  I did have to work late one night, but was still able to fit in a bit of stitching time afterwards. It ended up being a pretty good week on that front.

  • 15 minute days/week = 7/7 days
  • 15 minute days/Jan = 21/23 days
  • 15 minute days/2021 = 21/23 days
  • Success rate = 91.30%
I'm back on track with my goal to stitch at least 85% of the days this year.

How did your stitchy week work out?

  1. All my stitching time was spent working on 2 different projects. But happy to say one is almost done and the other is almost a complete top!!

  2. I think you are right about the pace of January compared to December. This year, we had a couple of rushed trips in December this year, but January does seem to be going by quickly. Congrats on getting your numbers back up again too.

  3. I am counting my stitching time only for cross-stitching projects I usually make for Love Quilts in Brazil. And 15 minutes has helped me to make more than expected. Thanks Kate.

  4. Congrats on getting your numbers back up. It is easy to lose track. Also congrats on getting so many joiners for the 15 minutes to stitch. You are an inspiration to all of us.

  8. Hi Kate, I did a lot of stitching this week working on the map project but I got the dates wrong for Project Quilting and only realised yesterday that it was due today! I can't seem to keep track of time these days. At least the days are getting longer and although it's been cold, we do have sun - so not too bad :-) Take care.

  9. I'm well on track this year. I think January has seemed to drag a bit, I feel like I'm in bit of a holding pattern waiting for the year to begin.

Good job on the stitching front.

  11. I like a month that takes its time rather than speeds by. Looks like you've done fairly well in the start of the year for stitching time.
