Halloween was pretty quiet. We put out small bags of candy for any trick or treaters that might be out. There were a few takers, but not near as many as a typical year. I spent the evening stitching so definitely got in more then my minimum of 15 minutes. How did you do with finding time to stitch this week?
My stitching week was pretty good.
- 15 minute days/week = 7/7 days
- 15 minute days/October = 30/31 days
- 15 minute days/2020 = 274/305 days
- Success rate = 89.84%
I managed about 45 minutes every night last week. Yesterday was pretty much a nothing but stitching day, which was really nice. I'll have some progress to show for tomorrow's post. You can link up below to share how well your stitchy week went.
The stash report for October is a bit anemic.
- Fabric used in October = 2.54 yards
- Fabric used YTD = 55.73 yards
- More fabric in than out for 2020
The only fabric going out was for the binding on Storm at Sea and the sashing for the Red, White and Blue Stars quilt. The plan is to get a back made for Daisy Chain, so hopefully the stash report will look better for November. Linking up with Quiltpaintcreate for the Sunday Stash.
How did your last week of October go on the stitching front?

Good stitching week for you! Looking forward to seeing the progress tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteYea for time stitching. I laughed at my granddaughter’s plan for Halloween. She’s just 7. Their house has three doors and the detached garage has one too. She was planning on going to all the doors to trick or treat. Sounded good to me.
ReplyDeleteYour theme of 15 minutes to stitch is so right on. Every little bit moves a project forward. That lovely quilt in your header,Kate, is it Storm at Sea?
ReplyDeleteThere aren't a lot of kids who come in our neighborhood and the ones that do come in cars so this year I just skipped it. I don't even know when Beggar's Night was this year. I am glad you got longer spans of time to walk today.
ReplyDeleteWe live on a cul-de-sac and put a table in the middle - three families put bags of candy there which the kids could come pick up and then we all sat around (with the right distance) and chit chatted while the small number of trick-or-treaters came by. It was a little smaller than normal, but I really enjoyed being outside with the neighbors, even though it was chilly. Glad you had a good week and hope next week is the same!
ReplyDeleteSounds like some great stitching time this week. Here there was a rainstorm starting at 8pm which made things soggy. Hope you have good stitching this week.
ReplyDeleteHi Kate, October was a very productive month for making art quilts and mostly stitching by hand, but there was some FMQ involved too! Good luck for November!
ReplyDeleteIt was quiet here for halloween too usually there are a lot of kits walking up down the streets but this year we didn't see any in our neighbourhood. We dropped Mo off at a friends house a few km away and their street had a few trick or treaters out and about.
