To Do Tuesday for 6/16/2020

Last week wasn't a good one for stitching.  I'm trying to do better this week.  In spite of the sparse stitching time, there was some progress on last week's To Do List.

Weekly To Do List for 06/09/2020

Frolic: Finish last block, sashing pieces, assemble - progress
Unity: Step 3, finish one pieced border strip - progress
Storm at Sea:  Finish white border, start blue border

Just one check mark for last week, but there was progress on the other two items.  So not a stellar week, but it wasn't a complete bust either.  What's the plan for this week?

Weekly To Do List for 06/16/2020

Mosaic Mystery: Make binding and label.

Mosaic Mystery is back from the quilter.  Getting the binding made and the label printed this week should set me up for a finish before the end of the month.

Storm at Sea:  Finish final blue border

The last of the border strips are pieced together. Now I need to measure the quilt, trim the strips to fit and stitch them on. That will take so much longer than I think it should, but hopefully I can finish that this week.  Then I really do need to find the extra wide backing I purchased for this project.

Frolic:  Finish sashing, assemble rows, stitch halves together

Frolic, 2019 Bonnie Hunter Mystery Quilt

I just need to sew the corner squares to the sashing strips, assemble the last couple of rows and then stitch the two halves together. It will still need to be trimmed up and the borders added, but it's getting close to being a finished flimsy.

Unity: Continue making Sawtooth Stars for step 3

Unity, 2020 Bonnie Hunter Sew-In-Place Quilt Along

The key to finishing Unity this year is to just keep making blocks. I'm not going to worry about getting a certain number done this week.

So that's the plan for this week. Good luck with your to do list for the week.  Linking up with Home Sewn By Us for To Do Tuesday

  2. Every little bit counts! I think your plan to just keep making blocks for Unity, a few at a time, will work great. Hope it's a good week for you, Kate!

  3. Hi Kate! I think you did fabulous last week. You made progress on all three projects. That's a win/win in my book. I just love the sawtooth blocks for Unity. That is one of my favorite blocks to make. Thanks so much for linking up today. ~smile~ Roseanne

  4. Some weeks are like that, but you made progress and you finished something, so that's a good thing. Here's hoping you will have a better week! You have some nice projects in the works!

  5. I need to just cut the fabric for the missing blocks to my Corona and willow QALs and then just do 1 a day or week, or whenever, just to get them done! Looks like you are going to be binding something soon!!!

  7. A good list for sure, and I agree - those borders always take longer than you think they will!
