Moving Right Along, But Nothing to Show

The weekend went way to fast. We did some much needed yard maintenance on Saturday.  Both of us paid for it on Sunday.  There is something to the fact we aren't as young as we used to be.  So between battle of the branches on Saturday and the Sunday morning retreat to the recliner with my heating pad, not much else got done.

There has been progress on all the active projects, just not stuff that photographs well.  Mosaic Mystery needs one more border to be a finished flimsy.

It would be nice to get Mosaic Mystery finished soon.  Cheryl at Meadow Mist Designs has already posted that her 2020 mystery will start July 2nd.

There is visible progress on the Unity Mystery Quilt.

Unity, 2020 Bonnie Hunter Sew-In-Place Quilt Along

All the blocks are made for the medallion center, but all the pieces still need to be sewn together. Clue 4 comes out today. It's OK to be behind, I'm just enjoying the process and the newness of the project.  Hopefully Unity will get finished before the newness wears off.

That's it for me this week.  Linking up with Monday Making, Monday Design Wall and Main Crush Monday.

  2. We’ve been doing the “battle of the branches” at this end too. The weather has been too nice to be inside sewing. Your Unity quilt block looks complicated with so many HST’s going off in all different directions. Congratulations getting them all turned the right way.

  4. I need to check out the Meadow Mist new mystery. I just am so leery when I can't see the final product! Which is what makes it a mystery. LOL Great progress for still working full time.

  5. Yard work is hard work. I'm glad you could get some R&R on Sunday. You are very close to having the Mosaic Mystery quilt finished; I'm looking forward to seeing it all together!

  6. I totally get the 'day after' yard work recovery! It's so rewarding to see the transformation, but I always forget I'm not a spring chicken any longer!

  7. Sounds like those branches were a tough battle. Aren't heating pads wonderful?

You are so close on the Mosaic Mystery quilt! Yay you! When you are in the sewing room today, I hope you can enjoy a little more sunshine coming through the window, or not hearing branches scrape against the roof. That will make all that work worthwhile.

BTW, did this come through as a no reply, or did I get it fixed?

  8. The purple in your Mosaic Mystery is just the prettiest color! And I like the center of your Unity quilt, too. Those both look like fun to work on. We have yardwork to do, too - but still waiting for last week's snow to melt! 😳

  9. Yardwork will let you know where your joints are every time! Glad you got some stitching time in anyway. Your Unity quilt looks cute. I did not start any of the new quiltalongs, there are enough squirrels popping up in my sewing room :)

  10. I still have to put a border on my Mosaic Mystery too. I don't know why I'm procrastinating on it. Well, other than the fact that I really don't like the 'adding border' process.... Maybe I'll get my butt in the sewing room and get that done this week. We can do it Kate!

  12. Ooh, I may have to get my last Meadow Mist quilt finished before July - told myself I wouldn’t do another one of her mysteries before I finished the first one I did, but I love all the ones she does...this may give me some motivation!
