2020 Rainbow Scrap Challenge

For the first time since I started participating in the Rainbow Scrap Challenge, I didn't end the year with a set of blocks ready for setting.  My 2019 RSC project was a rainbow version of Bonnie Hunter's Wild and Goosey pattern.  Those little blocks take a lot of time to piece, so I didn't get very far.

Modified Wild and Goosey
Based on Bonnie Hunter's pattern in Addicted to Scraps

Not a bad stack from last year, but I still need to add purple and red-violet to the mix.  Plus I need lots more of each color (I have it figured out, but I'll spare you those details).  Since I'm trying to focus on finishes this year and limit new projects, the plan is to keep adding to the stack of Wild and Goosey blocks from 2019 as the 2020 RSC project.

Linking up with Soscrappy for RSC Saturday and with Oh Scrap on Sunday.

  6. I love your blocks. Wild and Goosey needs a gazillion goose so you'll be very busy this year with that project. It will be an awesome one though. Enjoy! ;^)

  7. Whenever you finish your blocks it's going to be a beautiful rainbow quilt! I've never participated in the RSC challenge, but I know if I did I most likely would never finish a year!

  8. Only ONE project for RSC20?!?! I admire your self-control, Kate. Best of luck with completing your block sets for this quilt in 2020!

  10. Gorgeous saturated colors! They look pretty small; are they 4" finished? 6"? I get so impatient with tiny blocks, but love how they look in a finished quilt :)

  15. Love these blocks! My RSC project is one I started in 2018, realized that 2 projects were too many, and only did one color of one of the projects, to be picked up in 2019. I did one more color in 2019. So my pattern is one color per year--I may never finish! Good luck with your RSC blocks!

  16. I think that's a good plan! Those Rainbow Wild and Goosey blocks should not wind up as a 2020 UFO but rather fulfill their glory as 2020 finish. This is such a pretty stack of blocks!
