Week 35 of Stitching and Stashing

It's been a pretty quiet weekend so far.  Which is good as I was definitely ready for some down time to spend in the sewing room.  Finding 15 minutes here and there to hide out in the sewing room has been a bit easier this week.

Here's the tally for this week.

15 minutes stitching days/week = 7/7 days
15 minutes stitching days/August = 24/31 days
15 minutes stitching days/September = 1/1 day
15 minutes stitching days/2018 = 227/244 days
Success Rate = 93.03%

I'm managing to find time to stitch more than 90% of the time, so I'm doing well on meeting this goal for the year.

Wish my stash busting was going better.  I gave into another sale last week, at Craftsy this time.  So I've really, really blown my incoming stash budget.  But I've chosen to focus on the positive so I'm just reporting what went out for the week.

Fabric used this week:  0.46 yards
Fabric used in 2018: 30.20 yards
More fabric in than out for 2018

I do hope to get at least one quilt to the finished flimsy stage this month, so there should be some backing fabric going out in September.  Fingers crossed that actually happens.  Linking up with Quiltpaintcreate for the weekly stash report.

So how are you doing at finding time to stitch each week?

  1. You know, I think I have managed to get in some stitching every day for the past week! That makes me smile! Glad you've had a great week, too! :)

  2. It's been a good stitching week. Hope the next one is good too. Now that we are home, there are normal things to do and stitching to work in.

  3. OMG I can comment here again!!! We still want to see what you buy, even if you don't give us the details. I had a few years where the sales were too good to pass up. I must have added 200 yards between the two years. It happens to all of us.

  5. Excellent progress! I too got caught up in a sale, but it hasn't come in yet, so it is all good for now.

  6. You’re doing so well with your time! As to the shopping, you’ll use it eventually, eh?

  7. I am finding time to stitch almost every day. I have to sew/crochet at least a little bit every day...along with Bible study, it's my peace of mind. Your vintage dresses in your header are so beautiful! I marked the pattern as a favorite on Craftsy and perhaps I'll actually make it one day. Thank you for hosting and sharing.

  8. Stitching days are looking good! I stitch most days, but don't keep track of it. The best I could do, stitching every day but Sunday, is not quite 86%, and I already know that. =) Sales don't come along every week, and you ARE sewing every week, so it will show up by the end of the year, I bet.

  9. You are doing so well with your goal. I have completely given up sewing and quilting for the time being. I hope Hubby can get his mess cleaned up soon so I can have my space back again.
