Let's Book It is all about actually making something from all the books, magazines or patterns we all collect. This pattern has been my leaders and enders project for the last two years. After finishing up all the 4.5" sub units in December, January has been spent stitching them into huge 20.5" blocks.
Poinsettias By Judy Blok for the December 2013 issue of American Patchwork and Quilting Magazine |
There are 9 of these big blocks in the quilt, so I'm a third of the way done with those. But then there will be the pieced sashing to finish before I can start sewing the blocks together. I'm having fun building these big blocks. Though I'm running out of design wall space to show them off. Hopefully Poinsettias will be finished before we get to Christmas this year. It would be nice to have a new Let's Book it Project, even nicer to have a finish.
There's more eye candy posted over at Vrooman's Quilts.
Oh, this is so exciting to see this at this stage! This is just a beautiful quilt. Keep at it, little bits of time will surely get her there.
ReplyDeleteThose are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThere is a lot of movement in the block once you get it all together. Looking good!
ReplyDeleteIt's going to be really pretty, and you have lots of time between now and Christmas to work on it. Your 15 minutes a day will really pay off.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blocks! I can sympathize with our schedule, I typically leave the house at 6:15 or 6:30 and don't get home until 5:30 or 6:00. Does make for a long day and not much time for quilting! Enjoy your weekend!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is going to be a gorgeous quilt! I think I said that the last time you posted a picture of your progress. I just love those colors and the kaleidoscope look.
ReplyDeleteOh, those are beautiful! You must be exhausted, long days and the big city, hopefully the conference is over, but I like the way you power down.
ReplyDeleteYour blocks are beautiful! It's so fun to see leaders and enders start to come together.
