I'm debating changing out the dark blue for teal. That would really pop against that orange. So these are probably not the final selections. I have time to make some changes, as all of last month's blocks are still not finished.
Twinkle Stars, Tutorial by Andrea Feldbush of Soscrappy |
The last black star is sitting at the sewing machine waiting to be completed. Hopefully that will happen later today. Then I can play with all those showy oranges. There's more extraordinary orange scrappy goodness to check out over at Soscrappy.
Moving on to something completely different. Last week was my 5 year blogaversary and associated give away. I promised to draw a winner for the RJR Chalk Line fat quarter bundle today. So after googling to find a random number generator, I entered my parameters and clicked on generate.
So congratulations to Barbara who blogs over at Cat Patches. I've already dropped her an email note. Hopefully Mike let her off her ATV long enough to play on her computer a bit. Thanks for all the well wishes and fun comments on last week's blogaversary post.
Happy stitching this weekend.
Just look at all those lovely orange fabrics. The accent colours look good to me but then I haven't seen the teal. You have great colour sense so whatever you decide will be just right.
ReplyDeleteLove the stack of orange and a teal might be more appealing. Ah, Barb - congrats!. She is probably jumping up and down - hopefully not in the camper or on the ATV.
ReplyDeleteThose twinkle stars continue to get more gorgeous with each passing month, and I am on tenterhooks to see them done in orange.
ReplyDeleteI'm setting up my tenterhooks next to Kathy's A Quilter - I can't wait either!
ReplyDeleteHurray for Barb! It'll be fun to see what she does with her new toys.
You have a nice selection to play with ! :)
ReplyDeleteGosh, I love your stars. I can't wait to see this quilt all together!
ReplyDeleteYou should have some really outrageous twinkle stars by the end of this month. Can't wait to see them!
ReplyDeleteloving the orange fabrics especially the batik with black. Those star blocks are awesome. So dynamic with your color choice. LeeAnna
ReplyDeleteYou have a lot more oranges than I do. I guess it's because, as you said, that a little orange goes a long way. I like the navy with the orange but I'm trying to picture teal with it.
ReplyDeleteThose oranges will really add some happy to quilt. I like the idea of teal. The contrast would be perfect. Congrats on your blogiversary.
ReplyDeleteGreat fabric choices!
ReplyDeleteGreat fabric selection for your oranges - I love the pops of purple and blue with them.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful orange prints and beautiful stars! Congratulations Barbara!
