She had a really fun time. Unfortunately the rest of the weekend will be focused on getting her science fair project done. From Cinderella to mad scientist is quite the transition, almost like Jekyll and Hyde.
Sewing certainly happened this week, but it's not reflected in the stash report.
Used last week: 0.08 yards
Used in February: 0.08 yards
Used Year to Date: 2.69 yards
But every little bit helps. Hopefully I'll get the borders done for the 2014 Rainbow Scrap Challenge Sampler soon and be able to make a back for it. That would make a nice increase in the out going.

ReplyDeleteShe's absolutely gorgeous. I think it's wonderful they can attend dances without having a date now. When I was in high school, the boy had to ask the girl (not vice versa), and if you didn't have a date you were left out. As for the Jekyll and Hyde...isn't that part of the territory when you're a teenager?

She is beautiful and her dress is WOW. I bet there were some guys that didn't have dates too. Beauty and brains in one package makes for a proud mom. Your numbers will start moving soon, I know.

ReplyDeleteWe have a formal here for Year 10 (four years of high school, students are aged 15.5-16.5 years) and another for finishing high school two years later. The dresses cost a fortune, then there's the hair, the make-up, the car hire ... What's left for them to experience for their weddings? Because DD didn't finish school, we only had to go through the first one (oh yeah, she partnered her then boyfriend to his Year 12 so that was another dress, more make up and hair...)!
