Last night was the big formal for the Freshman and Sophomore classes. Drama Teen didn't have a date, but went with a group of her girlfriends. She cleans up pretty well doesn't she.
She had a really fun time. Unfortunately the rest of the weekend will be focused on getting her science fair project done. From Cinderella to mad scientist is quite the transition, almost like Jekyll and Hyde.
Sewing certainly happened this week, but it's not reflected in the stash report.
Used last week: 0.08 yards
Used in February: 0.08 yards
Used Year to Date: 2.69 yards
But every little bit helps. Hopefully I'll get the borders done for the 2014 Rainbow Scrap Challenge Sampler soon and be able to make a back for it. That would make a nice increase in the out going.
For more states of the stash, check out Patchwork Times.
Every bite counts when eating the stash elephant.
ReplyDeleteLOL!!! Oh a so remember these days! The life of teens is so full of energy and fun! (Yes...Drama Teen cleans up beautifully!!)
ReplyDeleteShe's absolutely gorgeous. I think it's wonderful they can attend dances without having a date now. When I was in high school, the boy had to ask the girl (not vice versa), and if you didn't have a date you were left out. As for the Jekyll and Hyde...isn't that part of the territory when you're a teenager?
ReplyDeleteAh, she's well rounded, dancing and Science! Her dress is gorgeous on her. Bet you're a proud mommy.
ReplyDeleteLeeAnna at not afraid of color
Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteShe smart and gorgeous, what a great combination. BTW, thanks for posting the link to the Patchwork Times post. I couldn't find it on her blog.
ReplyDeleteDT looks utterly fabulous!
ReplyDeleteThe only sewing that occurred here this past weekend involved hemming pants ...so demoralising!
She is beautiful and her dress is WOW. I bet there were some guys that didn't have dates too. Beauty and brains in one package makes for a proud mom. Your numbers will start moving soon, I know.
ReplyDeleteWow! She does clean up beautifully. Can remember the days of raising teen daughters! ;>) Love the Jekyll and Hyde comparison. Good luck on her science project.
ReplyDeleteHey, any fabric usage is great.
Hugs

She is beautiful! I hope she had a great time.
ReplyDeleteDT does clean up well and the dress looks spectacular on her.
ReplyDeleteSlow and steady wins the race, it just takes a little while to get there :)
Terry
Beautiful colour! She looks very happy!
ReplyDeleteWe have a formal here for Year 10 (four years of high school, students are aged 15.5-16.5 years) and another for finishing high school two years later. The dresses cost a fortune, then there's the hair, the make-up, the car hire ... What's left for them to experience for their weddings? Because DD didn't finish school, we only had to go through the first one (oh yeah, she partnered her then boyfriend to his Year 12 so that was another dress, more make up and hair...)!
What a gorgeous creature!
ReplyDeleteHow did her Daddy let her leave the house? LOL
Doesn't really matter how much, but any use of fabric is a good thing. ツ
Drama Teen looks lovely. Sorry really behind on ready blogs. Hope the science project is going well.
