Kathy, who blogs at Kathy's Quilts, regularly linked up with a Lovely Year of Finishes sponsored by Melissa of Sew Bittersweet Designs and Shanna of Fiber of All Sorts as one way to motivate herself to finish up projects on her UFO list. So this year, I'm going to play along in hopes it will help me get to the finish line on a few quilts.
For January, the plan is to get all the blocks for the 2014 Rainbow Scrap Challenge Sampler set together.

That should be doable this month. There are just two more rows of blocks to square up and then add the sashing. I've got a good idea what to do for the borders. So there is no reason why this project can't be a finished flimsy by the end of the month.
This is a gorgeous quilt, and I'm looking forward to seeing it finished. A good choice for your first finish.
ReplyDeleteIt's looking good and I'm sure you can get it finished this month. How did you decide which blocks to make?
ReplyDeleteThat is going to be a gorgeous quilt! Good luck on your goal!
ReplyDeleteWhere do you keep your UFOs? I think you have me beat on number but then I have mine hidden away and may have forgotten some. I was planning to join A Year of Lovely Finishes also. I always meant to join Cat Patches every month, but I usually forgot that too.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you are well on your way to finishing the rainbow quilt. That should get the snowball rolling.
I've had a lot of quilts hanging over my head slightly unfinshed. So far on the 2nd day of the month, I have finished 2 BB quilts, and have one on the long arm, I have 12-3 more that need to be completed (BB quilts) and have started the remake of a quilt that I will make 4x for my DD's , Bonnie Mystery quilt from last yr, and this yr's ,.one other I have had done except for the boders and quilted.... Oh that's a lot of finishes!
